they’re both kind of cheesy about the holidays ! Riven likes to invite all her friends over and she sends postcards with her and Lux posing with all their dogs like a big family. Lux is a fan of the ugly sweaters and gets really into playing oldie Christmas music.

i imagine even though Lux likes to be the image of poise……she has her moments.

Lux. she was a bit……………..worried, when she realized Riven rarely cooks and mostly eats takeout or processed stuff.

HE HASN’T BEEN IN DEMACIA for very long. the endless bureaucracy he’s had to face by filing papers of admission for his scientific inclinations had nearly tired him out too much to carry on with the travel, but he assumes the curious proprieties of petricite are far too tempting for a mind like him not to wonder its uses in his science. he’s a curious mind, after all, and a break from the endless mediatic stunts his clan pulled on him seemed worth it. jayce hadn’t foreseen that he’d be put to similar tasks in another country, if only for the sake of diplomacy. in hindsight, he should have. the giopara never do anything that don’t benefit them.
that is how jayce ends up meeting this curious girl. she’s important, he can tell by both her garb and surname; luxanna’s very presence in this event seems telling enough. his cynicism ( prompted by being inserted in the very atmosphere he wanted to avoid with his escapade from piltover; he takes to frustration strangely, he admits that much ) isn’t as well-received by the girl as he imagined, but it’s a faux pas he assumes he can afford. sipping on his beverage, he hums as he observes the passers-by in the open garden, avoiding her eyes with measured intent.
“all of us want to be something better, miss crownguard.” his tone is much too sober, almost solemn as his grayer eyes meet her clear sky ones.
“QUESTION IS, is your concept of better what everyone else deems it to be?”
his response comes from a personal place; he’s known disappointment plenty of times from differing point of views on what his best should be. he’s learned to adapt, of course, but it has made him SKEPTICAL of how universal the concept may be. she wouldn’t know, of course, how that resonates with him, but it does and the distance he puts between him & her is all but a way to veil that.

He felt the familiar glow within his core that he knew all too well- one that he had look forward to feeling year after year back when he spent more time slumbering than awake. It was easily recognizable, especially now that he was more sensitive to magic’s presence that ever at his shrunken size. He wondered if anyone had told her about the change, how Galio was now allowed to stay awake for much longer periods of time on a single spell now that he had been made only twelve feet tall. He would not have accepted it, had he not been told he could be revered back to his colossal size with a ritual, if need be. Maybe the humans were just in better need of constant protection from individual mages rather entire armies. That seemed to make sense to him.
“Young girl person!” the statue called out, jumping to his feet from his sitting position earlier, he waved his hand in the air- just in case he hadn’t yet seen her with how much smaller he know was. “It’s good to see you! We should do things together!” What, he didn’t quite know- what humans did all day besides fight was not something he was aware of. But he was sure she could figure it out!

11. In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been? Out of any situation, it would have to be when she was caught using magic; especially by someone she cares about and who has a high reputation of her. eg, garen. Or someone similar. She’d take a life threatening situation over that anyday because nothing could be more terrifying to her than seeing her brother so shocked and torn over the fact that his sister was something so tainted and ‘evil’. by demacian standards anyway. Just seeing him break up over it, imagining how he’d push her away ? It’s worth than death, in her opinion, and she would do anything in her power to prevent it from happening.30.What does your character find repulsive or disgusting? I think the one thing, above all else, that would really repulse her or disgust her is an abuse of power; so someone of higher power using that as a form of manipulation over someone of lower power or standing. Its despicable, especially because demacia see it as a responsibility to care for those less fortunate / of a lesser class, she cannot fathom to think about taking advantage of them, nor can she stomach it.

she could lie ─ oh, gods knew she could, but it would ache inside her like a living thing for ages afterwards. she had no real desire to lie to quinn, nor any good reason to … besides a touch of shame. ‘ not long, ’ comes her meek reply. ‘ five minutes, maybe … or ─ ten. it’s hard to say. i really didn’t mean to listen in ─ well, no ─ ’ she fumbles. her cheeks grow warm. she feels like a young girl again, being berated into a corner. ‘ that isn’t true, i did mean to listen, but ─ what i mean is … please don’t be upset. ’
The scout listened intently, the hooded bird on her gauntlet tipping his head around as if to hear better, himself. And the moment Lux finished, her head dipped, contemplative, analyzing each stutter of the dainty Crownguard with the attentiveness of a hungry eagle. “You shouldn’t be doing that,” Quinn said immediately, then gentle, grasped Lux by the arm, and pulled her around a corner.
“Listen, I know you’re curious. I’m the same. But that conversation was confidential, to put it lightly.” Quinn’s tone was even, not angry by any stretch, but her golden hazel gaze bored into the Crownguard unrelentingly. “By the light, even I don’t think I’m supposed to know about this. Could get people in trouble.”
