So it has been 312 days since I quit my job from 24-7 Intouch Inc.
Why did I not do this sooner?
I love my new job I’ve had since the beginning of May 2015. It has been quite an adventure. I am now working on the 22nd floor in the center of Winnipeg’s 4 largest business sky scrapers. I am making a fairly good wage although it is about 10k less than I’d be happy with. More than double what I was making before and as an added bonus I am one of the three System Admins in the network.
It’s been so long I could ramble on and on but I will be brief. My direct boss is stern, always challenging me, and is mentoring my skills molding me into a more powerful tech each day. I appreciate his teachings.
My other IT co-workers are skilled, vocal, and a little old school but good people.
The users I support are difficult however unlike the users from before these ones are not always right. When they make a mistake it is not my fault which makes me enjoy helping them and motivates me to educate them.
I will end it here however I have more to tell at a later date.
