#lifetime asks

Mercy lets her heat come naturally as much as possible, unless she knows that she’s going to be assigned to a mission or there is a big operation going on or something that needs her full attention is going to clash with her heat (she has everyone’s heats and ruts marked out on a calender and she knows who puts them off with blockers and all of that, the only reason this one in Lifetime was unplanned was because Hanzo triggered it, so she has to redo allllll her scheduling, thanks hanzo)

Leading up to her heat, she either gets really mellow and relaxed or irritable and snappy, it really depends on the situation and who is around.  If Genji is on a mission during those days she gets irritable, if he’s around she’s very relaxed.

Angela likes to keep her relationship very private, PDA’s are kept to a minimum and she tries to keep to that even when her heat is coming, but to anyone paying attention they would notice subtle little things.  Sitting just a little closer than necessary, making sure that some part of her is touching some part of Genji, even if it’s just their knee’s under a table or hookng pinkies while they walk.

She wears Genji’s clothes and looks adorable in his beanie and when she talks to him she speaks softly in words meant only for him.  The way she talks and acts with him in private starts sneaking into her interactions with him in public.  Genji loves it, he doesn’t doubt that Angela cares for him, he understands why she keeps things private but he does hope that eventually she’ll warm up to the idea of PDAs.

Her nest is probably the most comfortable nest anyone has ever made ever and nesting usually lasts three or four days depending.  During that time they mostly cuddle and sleep, which is nice because Angela never gets enough sleep (in Genji’s opinion) Genji will leave to fetch food and water and no matter how quick his return his absence was too long and Angela missed him.

She’s clingy, tired and just wants to be held and Genji is more than happy to do so.

Nesting for Angela is like they’ve created a bubble where she doesn’t have to worry about anything or anyone and she can completely relax and for once she’s the one being cared for.  She’s happy and content and cuddly and warm and snuggled up with Genji and everything is right with the world.

I am really glad that you (and everyone in the comments on Lifetime) have enjoyed him so much, I was worried that including him as much as I had started to do would distract from the original plan for Lifetime but I think he’s just improved it tbh. 

Hey! I’m glad that you have been enjoying Lifetime! though I’m sorry you’re not a fan of my Sombra, that’s fine though, everyone has different headcanons and we really don’t have all that much information to work with so it makes sense that everyone comes to different conclusions with what we’re shown.

You are absolutely right that Sombra is very much about furthering her own self interests, or at least that’s what we see in the Infiltration short, however, in the lore the reason she started hacking the government and politicians for Los Muertos was because they believed that the rebuilding of Mexico after the omnic crisis had lined the pockets of the wealthy while exploiting those who needed help the most.

Sombra stumbled upon a ‘global conspiracy’ which forced her to get rid off all traces of who she used to be and she continues to dig to find out “who really runs the world” so to me that sounds like someone who is fighting for a cause rather than for themselves.

MOST IMPORTANTLY to my portrayal of Sombra though is the fact that is is stated that “She is a loner emotionally, finding it difficult to make friends[8] (outside coercion)”

BUT

“Michael Chu has indicated that Sombra considers Reaper and Widowmaker to be genuine friends of hers, but that the friendship is "complicated."

Can i just scream with you a little bit for a moment because AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

I would LOVE to write more with Gency i love them so much! Confession time, they were supposed to be more prominant in Lifetime but I became a little nervous with all of the Gency hate that started going off at the time so they ended up taking a backseat and R76 filled in that space.

There are a couple of planned Gency moments coming up but I’m not sure I’m brave enough to really do anything specifically about them but I will answer any questions on them you might have in relation to Lifetime <3

Genji does get pretty irritable during his ruts but he doesn’t get them often at all, one of the things that makes him more irritable/territorial is that he doesn’t have the ability to scent very well so he feels like he has to counter that by being extra growly.

Even though Genji and Jesse are bffs, Jesse and Angela are also bffls so sometimes Genji and Jesse growl at each other when Genji is rutting/near his rut.
