Joseph knew that tone. He knew what that tone normally heralded when it came to Ben using it on him. Which was why he smartly set down his datapad after saving it twice before he raised his line of sight to the doorway. He was not disappointed.
Ben leaned against the doorframe in the black satin nightie he’d gotten several months back, which had quickly become Joseph’s favorite.
“...I’m going to assume the little ones are already in bed?” Ben’s reply was a smirk, and the motion of closing the door behind him, sauntering to Joseph as he took in the sight of his spouse clearly wanting attention.
Well...He had a decent amount of energy left. Thank god for power naps.

“Holy shit.” Fintan was actually /sweating/. “Uhm...I think you should-”
Ben just stared as his brother gulped down the remaining...whatever the fuck Giaselle had given them, the Elf and a very WORRIED Aliblu nearby as Fintan panted and pressed his red face to the table.
“...I think he’s dead.”
Fintan popped up, making Ben yelp. “ANOTHER ROUND!” He snarled at a smirking Giaselle, who at the moment had fifteen bottles to Fintan’s twelve.
“Whose idea was it to let them drink this stuff?!”

Lance STARED at the bundle in his lap, then looked up at a smiling Ben. “I have a feeling if I asked you where you got these, I’d either get no answer or you’d say ‘Maddie’.”
“We know you need help for your date-”
“IT’S NOT A DATE!”
“Keep telling yourself that. So, we decided, as your siblings, we had to help.”
Lance’s eyebrow twitched and he held up the black faux leather pants. “...AND JUST WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU IMPLYING?!”
“Go get her, tiger.”
His eyebrow twitched again. “HOW WILL PANTS HELP?!”
“You’d be amazed.”

“MADDIE~!” The female unit squeaked and laughed as Ben tackled her in a hug, picking her up and spinning her around.
Once she was set down Maddie brushed back her hair with a giggle. “Geez Benny! What’s got you so excited?”
He opened a magazine to show her. There was a large advertisement on the right page for a new store in town, and as soon as Maddie saw the array of coupons on the bottom she was already snipping them out as Ben dogged her heels. “Big Brother~! We’re going out for a bit, be back soon~!”

Ben poked his head into the room, antenna whirring about as one arm held a box full of cabbage and lettuce and everything else, scanning the room until he located the heat signature that told him the medic-turned-reptile was hiding under the boxes again.
“Ah, Benedict, perfect. I trust you found the organic materials without much difficulty?”
The Navigator’s smile twitched a bit as Lifesaver meandered into sight. “Y-Yes sir! I-I got everything you l-listed! W-Would you like m-me to pr-prepare anything in p-p-particular?”
“Mmm, not particularly. Just set something down and I’ll eat.”
Ben did so, watching as the turtle slowly, meticulously, stripped the head of lettuce with his maw. “...” Ben’s mental ponderings consisted of ‘CUTE SO CUTE!’ “Are you sure I shouldn’t-”
[[Ben has a very soft and /distinctly/ male voice, and tends to speak quietly or sarcastically more often than not.]]

[[Ben has a small smile, but wen it gets bigger you really have to take note. If it crinkles a bit, he’s plotting. If it seems bigger than it should be, he’s angry. And if he’s showing teeth, I pray you’re wearing rubber.]]

[[Take your pick. The scar over his eye, his processor/voicechip stuttering, being harassed for looking like a female model at times. He also becomes insecure about his family, given that he feels he’s failed to protect them at times, and even feels like he betrays them when he thinks about his brothers.]]

[[Ben has anger issues, stemming from old glitches in his first programming. As well, he goes along with ‘gut instinct’ sometimes over logical processor thinking, which gets him into trouble more than he stays out of it.]]

[[Bottling it at the moment, mostly. He has very few individuals that he feels will try to understand and help him through the losses and grief. When it comes to Joseph, it’s especially hard, as he knows his husband prefers not to dwell on the things that haunt Ben’s mind. Recently he’s begun to open up to Fintan and Lance, and as of this point has deemed them his own brothers to forgo the feeling of loss.]]

[[Ben likes to dress according to both weather and style. Kelvin’s begun to have the same habit, though he has no taste for skirts and dresses like his mother does.]]

[[Despite being told and held to the diet, Ben enjoys sweets to a dangerous degree. Not that fat or sugar affects weight on a Reploid, but the ‘stomach’ tank Joseph and his brothers designed are delicate and can’t process vast quantities of unhealthy food.]]

[[MOTHS. My god, he is a bug nerd. Kelvin has become a bee, Helen a ladybug, and Maddie is a butterfly. He has yet to solidify what the brother trio are, and remains adamant it important.]]

And as well, he’s a great best friend; he has your muses back when they need him, whether they need a night on the ouch with movies, a couple of glasses of booze, or a smack on the head and a peptalk.]]
