Sometimes I feel like holidays are stupid because they somewhat "force" ppl to do certain things or follow certain customs when you should be doing these things on a normal basis. For example: valentines day.
On valentines day, couples give each other gifts and go out on a romantic dinner and whatnot and be all mushy and whatnot. But you should be doing that on the daily. Not just on February 14.
But at the same time, holidays can be a time to take a step out of your usual routine and do something out of the ordinary! You love your partner everyday but you can use February 14 to love them even more! Like... make it even more special than it already is! Lol. If that makes sense.
I know I totally just contradicted myself but isn't that just how it is? Never black and white but multiple shades of gray all around, depending at what angle you look at it. In the end, enjoy each others' company, no matter who you're with: a lover, a friend, or even family member. Happy valentines day everyone <3 :)
