The second full day of my Potrero Uphigh2 experience was an absolute pleasure. Started the day off right with the acquirement of fresh tamales from Esperanza's Tamale Shop in town. Dennis and I then met up with Taylor (Teo) and Madison. They, along with four others, were supposed to arrive at Potrero Friday afternoon. However, due to the freak blizzard, the Mexican authorities closed the border roads due to heavy traffic and accidents. This caused our friends to abandon their trip and return home. After returning back to San Marcos, Teo caught wind that the borders were open, and like the true warrior he is, he saddled up and drove back to Mexico with Madison. Teo and Madison had been up since 3a.m. but that didn't stop them from seizing the day. We did a couple routes on TNT wall, the hiked over to the Virgin Canyon to do some more climbs and walk the ~70m Feliz Navi-Highline. After the sun had set we went over to Homeros for the slack party. I have no clue who the fire performers were but they were outstanding. They had every fire toy possible. After that, a few Carta Blancas were had followed by some much-needed rest, for there were more highlines and climbs to be had.
