Just way too much food
So I don’t usually plug stuff, but I feel like I need to give a shout out to GoodFood, a meal delivery company I've been using for a few months now.
So tonight, I was out of food, and I thought "I'll make quesadillas" because I love quesadillas. I made chicken ones over the weekend and I decided I'll make beef ones this time. I get a single package of ground beef, a few vegatables (jalapinos! kale!) and bring it home.
I cook this stuff up, and I remind you I have bought the minimum amount of each ingredient I can, and I now have enough quesadillas stuffing for like five hundred years.
I'm serious, I've had three and it's barely made a dent in it. This is a serious issue.
Cooking for one person is impossible because stores can't make money selling me like 100 grams of ground beef, which is what I needed.
But places like GoodFood can. They send you these little meal packages with little two serving amounts of each ingredient. They send you three potatoes, and 200 grams of ground pork, or two tablespoons of rose vinegar in a tiny recyclable vial.
It's cute, and healthy, and they give you the recipe, and they change their menu every week so you don't get bored, and, the main bonus for me, you don't end up with a small mountain of quesadillas filling in your fridge.
GoodFood is basically just in Quebec and Ontario, but there are similar uncooked meal delivery services all over the place these days. If you're living alone, I highly recommend checking one out. Way better then ordering take-out all the time.
