Centre spread from my Masters project 2010. The picture on the left I took on a beach in Costa Rica, the picture on the right was in London as I was travelling back from Heathrow after leaving the beach after 3 months. The riff I was exploring in the chapter was that of interconnectednes, a broken consumption model, ecological illiteracy and the role of the economic and commercial narrative in maintaining this separation. Can you imagine a world where human economic systems are in harmony with natural ecosystems ? It feels like there is an awakening happening.
