Spring is behind us. Hello summer, you sexy bitch!

Let’s see… the usual “it’s been too long so here are some monumental updates” rapid fire:

Derrick is potty trained!

Derrick got his central line out - the biggest most wonderful milestone of them all, I think.

Holden got to come to work with mommy and see the big city from 100 stories up!

I got to spend an epic weekend in Cleveland with my favorite gal @beenjen 😁

We built a DIY mud kitchen in the back yard

We had a big cookout to celebrate Holden finishing preschool and Derrick’s 1 year post-transplant milestone anniversary. It was fab.

I got to spend a beautiful weekend in Cape May with my cousin, who I hadn’t seen in person in years.

It’s been a lot! A lot of good, a lot of new, a lot of big moments and small moments and ups and downs. Overall the kids are doing really well. D was back in the hospital at the end of May with pneumonia. Somehow now we have yet another respiratory virus (how?!) but here’s hoping we all kick it without issue - especially D, obviously.

my 2026 bingo card didn't have get into a ship for the first time ever and have it be Minecraft doomed yaoi.

It didn't have feeling depressed over Minecraft characters that look like blocks.

I didn't have seeing the best live action movie of my life. (Project Hail Mary)

It didn't have getting into another ship SOMEHOW EVEN MORE and its a crossover ship.

It didn't have me making a tumblr account or going on Ao3 for the first time. Then going on both religiously every night for said crossover ship.

I didn't have me writing fan fiction for fan fiction.

It didn't have me shedding a single tear at Parrot and Wifies platonically breaking up in unstable. Only at the farlands video so far so don't spoil. I already know it gets worse.

And now it feels like my heart is in a blender after reading an angsty chapter of FUCKING MPREG??? BloodyMary is built different I swear.

I've learned 3 things this year.

Never underestimate the power of the internet. They make you giggle at fluff and then rip it away with angst that hits you like a truck.

Yaoi is more powerful than I could have ever imagined

Wifies creating/staring in Minecraft videos is a express ticket to characters I'm gonna get invested in and feel destroyed when bad things happen

But the most important thing I learned?
