When Gon had invited Killua to spend the weekend with him, he hadnât even considered the weather as a factor. It hardly ever snowed on Whale Island, and frankly Gon was shocked to see the fluffy white flakes falling from the sky on the very day that Killua was expected to come over. It wasnât bad enough to hinder their plans, which relieved the bulk of Gonâs worriesânot that Killua would have let a bit of snow get in his way regardless of the severity of the storm.
With Killua en route, Gon was left to wait anxiously, watching the snow fall from his window and listening to the seconds tick by on his clock.
It was rare for Killua and Gon to get to spend this much time together recently, so when Killua agreed to spend the weekend together, Gon had been through the roof with excitement. Aunt Mito had told him to clean up around the house as he waited, but Gon knew fully well that any cleanliness would be rendered a moot point by the time he and Killua got to their mischief.
Seconds seemed to drag on for hours until finally, finally, Gon heard a familiar knocking at the front door. It took all of the restraint that Gon had to not leap and jump over every piece of furniture in his way to the door. As he turned the knob, Gon smiled widely at his friend. It had been far too long, although it always seemed that way, since the boys had seen each other.
Gon wrapped his arms around Killuaâs neck, much to the latterâs embarrassment, despite this being far from the first or last time Gon had greeted Killua this way. Regardless of its predictability, the gesture always brought a blush to Killuaâs cheeks.
However, the blush would be entirely hidden right now by the redness of Killuaâs face as a result of the biting cold. As Gon released him, he could see outside for the first time in a while, and more importantly he could see how bad the snow had gotten.
âKillua, itâs awful out there! How did you even make it?â Gon said, voice nearly in a shout out of amazement and excitement.
Killua rubbed the back of his neck as he stepped into the house heâd come to accept as a second one to himself, âIt really isnât so bad, just a little cold.â
âA little? Your face and hands are redder than Aunt Mitoâs hair!â
âGon!â Aunt Mito shouted from behind the boys, having come to the door as well to greet Killua.
âSorry Aunt Mito,â Gon laughed.
âYeah, yeah,â Mito replied with a playful roll of her eyes. âHello again, Killua. Oh goodness, Gon was right, you look positively freezing! Come on, Iâll make you some hot cocoa to warm up.â
âThatâs really okay, Iâll be fine after a while,â Killua replied.
Aunt Mito clicker her tongue in disapproval, âYouâll be fine sooner if you listen to me and drink the cocoa, come on.â
Killua could have argued more, but he knew far better than to try to go against Aunt Mito, so he complied and followed her and Gon into the kitchen, where the boys sat across from each other at the table.
While they waited for Mito to prepare the hot chocolate, Gon and Killua went back and forth telling stories of what theyâve been up to since their last adventure together. For both of them, the conversation fell into a rhythm so quickly it was as if theyâd never separated for a moment. It warmed both of their hearts, despite the cold, to catch up, as well as to simply be in each othersâ presence.
After a handful of minutes, Aunt Mito handed a warm mug to both of the boys before telling them, âI have to run into town before this snowstorm gets much worse. You two behave and stay inside, at least until this blows by. I shouldnât be long.â
âOkay,â said both boys in unison, licking a bit of hot chocolate off the top of their lips.
âBe safe,â Gon added as Aunt Mito turned to leave them.
The snow hadnât let up since Killua had arrived; in fact, it had gotten quite a bit worse. Gon didnât pay much mind to it at the momentâhe knew that his aunt was tough and that she could handle a lot more than a blizzard.
By the time both of their mugs were empty and Gon and Killua felt that they were adequately caught up in the recent events of each otherâs lives, they spent some time in the living room, flipping through board games and arguing impishly over which one they should play first. It didnât take them long to pick a game, and it took even less time for them to turn it into a fully fledged competition.
Seemingly the exact opposite of how time had passed before Killua had arrived, time flew by as did each of the different games. Before either boy realized it, the sun was starting to set behind the curtain of white flakes that were still falling. When Gon noticed how late it was, he also realized that Aunt Mito still hadnât returned home from her shopping trip. Normally this wouldnât be of terribly much concern for him, but with the weather he couldnât be so sure that something hadnât gone wrong.
âYou set up the next game, Iâm going to go call Aunt Mito, see if she needs anything,â Gon told Killua with an air of preoccupation, walking into the kitchen to fetch his phone.
As he clicked on Aunt Mitoâs contact and listened to the phone ring, Gon couldnât help but wonder where exactly Mito was. It was strange for so much time to have already passed without her reaching out to the boys herself.
Aunt Muto picked up after the third ring, and immediately Gon asked her where she was and if she was okay or needed any help.
âWoah, woah, Gon. Yes, Iâm fine. I appreciate the concern, but I am okay. I guess I underestimated this storm though. I ran into a friend at the store, and before I could leave, so much snow had fallen that she offered me a place to stay at her house to wait out the storm. Thatâs where I am now, sorry I didnât call you sooner, my signal is hardly holding up now. Are you boys alright?â
Gon breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing that Aunt Mito was perfectly fine.
âYeah, weâre okay over here, too. Didnât even realize how late it had gotten.â
âThatâs good then,â Aunt Mito replied; Gon could practically hear her smile through the phone. âDonât wait up for me. If this keeps going, Iâll have to wait until tomorrow to even try coming back. There should be plenty of food in the fridge and pantry for you and Killua. You two had better stay inside and stay safe.â
âMâkay. You too. See you soon,â Gon answered before hanging up the call and heading back into the living room with Killua.
âEverything alright?â Killua asked as soon as Gon returned.
Gon nodded and resumed his place, sitting across from Killua on the floor in front of the television.
âYeah, but Aunt Mito probably isnât going to come home tonight. Sheâs staying with a friend and waiting for the snowstorm to clear up, but it doesnât really look like itâs going to.â
Killua nodded in understanding, looking at Gon and reading his expression carefully. This was certainly unprecedented weather, especially for Whale Island, and he wasnât sure how much it could potentially weigh on Gon. Luckily, Gon didnât seem too phased by it, which in turn rose Killuaâs spirits along with his.
âYou know, since we have the house to ourselves now, we could make our own pizza,â Gon suggested with a mischievous grin pulling at the corners of his mouth.
Killua returned the devilish smile, âOh, Iâm in.â
The rest of the night was spent trying to figure out how to make a pizza that was edible and delicious, which took the pair longer than perhaps it should have, but they figured it out before any catastrophes could take place. After dinner, Killua suggested a movie, and him and Gon sat on the couch with a big bucket of popcorn, taking shots at guessing what would happen next.
Eventually, their yawns started to grow more and more frequent and their eyelids became heavier by the second as the third movie in a series of five came to a close.
âMaybe we should try to sleep now,â Gon suggested through a yawn.
Killua stretched his arms above his head, âTotally, Iâm wiped.â
âthe next dayâ
Killua was the first to wake the next morning, never entirely comfortable in a house that wasnât his. The sun was slipping in through the curtains of Gonâs bedroom, where he was curled into a sleeping bag on the floor. Despite his natural discomfort of having slept in someone elseâs home, Killua felt comfortable in the fact that it was Gonâs.
The time apart from his best friend had weighed a lot more than Killua had realized while he was away. He felt that as soon as heâd walked into the door and seen Gonâs smiling brightness, that he was home. Killua had felt this way since meeting Gon, and every time it resurfaced, Killua wanted to run away from it. More than anything, Killua was scared of becoming comfortable, only for that warmth and safety to be torn from him.
Just like he did nearly every time he was reunited with someone that he loved, Killua latched on quickly and entirely. However, now that heâd thought about it long enough as his eyelids fought against his thoughts, he didnât want to lose Gonâthat would kill him quicker than any attacker could ever so much as attempt to.
In the bed next to him, Killua could hear the rustling sounds of what he assumed to be Gon waking up, tearing him from his thoughts. A few moments later, Gon and his bright green eyes were peaking over the edge of his bed and rested down on Killua happily.
âHave you been up long? You couldâve woken me up,â Gon said, tilting his head to the side just a tad.
Killua found himself noticing and documenting these nearly imperceptible habits of Gonâs more and more often the more that they were together. Of course, he just wrote that off as his natural capacity as an assassin to be observant where it could be of use.
âJust a minute ago,â Killua responded as he shook his head, âI wouldâve thrown a pillow at you if youâd given me five more minutes.â
Gon laughed at this, and Killua couldnât help but admire the way his eyes crinkled in a glee so genuinely earnest that it squeezed at Killuaâs heart.
âAunt Mito still isnât home I guess. She wouldâve popped in,â Gon deduced before exclaiming excitedly, âI guess that means weâll have to make breakfast for ourselves!â
Killuaâs eyes widened with excitement mirroring Gonâs, âCan we make pancakes?â
Gon replied with an energetic gasp before jumping out of bed, Killua springing to his feet as well. And before so much as a word could be spoken between the two, they were practically jumping over each other as they raced into the kitchen as if there were riches beyond their wildest imaginations waiting for them.
Rather than gold and diamonds, however, was flour, eggs, milk, and a whole encyclopedia of other ingredients that neither Gon nor Killua was well versed in.
Ever one for competition, and idea sprang into Killuaâs mind almost as soon as they started sorting through the pile of notecards with Aunt Mitoâs recipes.
âI bet I can make better pancakes that you can,â Killua challenged, giving Gon a playful smirk from across the island that sat in the middle of the kitchen.
Almost instantly, Gonâs face widened with the thrill that it always did in the prospect of a fun competition, âYouâre so on.â
And thus the boysâ second escapade in the kitchen began, although this one full of sneaking ingredients out of the otherâs work station or out of their line of sight completely just to mess with the other. Twenty minutes later and it looked as if the duo had been outside in the snowstorm from the amount of flour and sugar that had been thrown at each other.
Each boy had their own âsecret ingredientâ thrown into their pancake, and both were extremely excited to taste test and declare themselves the winner. They took turns taking bites from each otherâs plates in an entirely random orderâGon would take a bite of his own, then Killuaâs, then contemplate and compare for a moment before returning to each pancake without discrimination. Killua did the exact same, although he was much more engaged in watching Gonâs reaction to tasting his pancake than he was actually comparing their creations.
Killua didnât even realize how horribly out of focus heâd been the entire time until Gonâs phone started to ring loudly from across the kitchen, prompting Gon to place another flour covered handprint on Killuaâs shoulder as he pounced by him to answer the caller.
Without listening long or hard, Killua could tell that it was Aunt Mito on the phone. That was only natural, he figuredâthe snow was certainly out of the ordinary and severely so. He wondered if Gon was worried at all since Aunt Mito had left. He definitely didnât seem to be preoccupied with the circumstances, but that could just be because there was someone else here to distract him, Killua reasoned.
The phone call took a good couple of minutes, of which Killua tried not to listen in too much as he cleaned up a little bit around the kitchen. He hadnât realized what a mess theyâd made until now, and it was definitely a lot. Killua couldnât help the small smile that rose to his lips as he cleaned. Not for the sake of loving cleaning, but because he loved having fun with Gon. He loved that they could just be kids, despite the dangerous adventures theyâd gone through together in the past. It was so natural like this, and Killua could only hope that it could be like this forever.
What really caught Killua off guard, however, was the pang of hurt he felt at this thought. It wasnât a hurt that sprang from a disdain at the thought, but more like a longing that was trying desperately to materialize itself. Killuaâs heart seemed to swell and squeeze in his chest, and if he were to be perfectly honest, Killua was vaguely concerned that he could have been having a heart attack right there in Gonâs kitchen.
Of course, that wasnât at all what was happening. It hit him like a sack of bricks, but before the thought could verbally form in Killuaâs brain, it suddenly became so stupidly apparent that he was in love with his best friend.
Killua felt so stupid for not realizing and putting a label on the feeling sooner. The more he thought about it, frozen in place with a paper towel half way through sweeping up a pile of flour, Killua couldnât go back in his mind to when this feeling had first appeared. Obviously it hadnât popped up right now out of nowhere, but it struck him so suddenly as if it had.
Killua could hardly even register that Gon had come back into the room and had started talking until he was caught with a cloud of flour being blown at him. With an entirely unbecoming screech, Killua was startled back into the present. That said, there was still a whirlwind of emotions fighting each other in the background of what was happening in front of him.
Now that Gon had his attention, he explained to Killua that Aunt Mito was going to play it safe, as long as the two of them were doing alright, and stay with her friend throughout the rest of today. Despite his lack of focus, Killua was surprised to hear this, but Gon didnât seem too shaken up about it, so he didnât dwell on it too long. Besides, there were a lot more terrifying things going on in Killuaâs mind as long as Aunt Mito was still safe.
If he was in love with Gon, everything was different. He was already fearful of becoming too comfortable, and this was just an entirely new layer to that that Killua wasnât sure he could handle. If there wasnât so much snow blocking him from leaving, he probably would have booked it right away so that he could sort out his feelings alone.
Instead, Killua shook away the haze that he felt under, and refocused his attention to Gon, who had busied himself in finishing the rest of his pancake.
âThanks for cleaning up, Killua. Is that your punishment for losing?â
Killua scoffed, âLosing? How in the world are you going to sit here and tell me that your pancake was better than mine? Your tastebuds must be broken.â
âOh yeah? You tell me, Killua, do they look broken?â Gon asked before opening his mouth widely to reveal a mess of half-chewed pancake.
Killua smacked him over the head quickly with a repulsed, âEw! Why would you do that you weirdo?â
Gon finished off the food in his mouth before smiling widely, âBecause itâs funny to see you panic.â
âYouâre the worst,â Killua replied, trying to hide the blush that hadnât yet faded from his cheeks.
âMaybe, but you still love me,â Gon replied with a cheeky giggle.
If only he knew how true that was, Killua thought.
â
Decidedly, today was a lazy day. It had started off in a fierce competition; of which the boys couldnât decide a winner, but since then it had been relaxed and fairly easy going. After breakfast, Gon recommended a movie that they could watch, which turned into a full blown movie marathon, much to Killuaâs enjoyment.
Movies gave Killua plenty of time to think, and he desperately needed to sort out these feelings that were so foreign to him. Sure, he would occasionally look up and give as much of a reaction as he could manage without being yanked back into the whirlpool of thoughts and worries.
He loved Gon. That much was so clear to him from the moment that the thought surfaced in his brain. The difficult part was what he was supposed to do afterâwhat was he supposed to do now? Killua had absolutely zero experience in anything even remotely close to this, and even less so with his best friend in the entire world.
Killua was already pretty sure that he did not deserve Gonâs friendship. It hurt him to think that he was selfish enough to hold onto it, but it hurt him even more to think of losing it over these new feelings. If he continued to let this fester within, Killua was sure that he would explode. But if he told Gon, and Gon didnât feel the same way, which was all too likely in Killuaâs mind, he was infinitely more screwed.
Killua wanted to scream out of frustration. It didnât help that Gon had drifted closer and closer to him throughout the duration of the movie, to where he is now, resting his head lazily on Killuaâs shoulder. Killua couldnât fathom that Gon couldnât hear his heart beating out of his chest from where he was, but he was grateful for it nonetheless.
When the fourth movie of the day ended, Gon sat up and stretched his arms dramatically, a content smile resting gently over his features.
âWhat now?â Gon asked, turning to face Killua as he waited for an answer.
âI donât know,â Killua responded quickly, although in reality he really just wanted to run away.
Gon hummed and looked around the room. Evidently heâd had enough of movies for the day, but Killua wasnât sure what else they could transition into.
Then, with a start, Gon suggested, âI can make lunch for us! Aunt Mito taught me how to make scrambled eggs, and Iâm actually really good at it!â
Killua laughed and tilted his head at Gonâs idea, âEggs are breakfast food, dummy.â
âAww come on donât be such a loser, Killua. Besides, youâll change your mind when you taste it,â Gon insisted.
Killua couldnât help but notice the way his heart flipped when Gon said his name with so much affection dripping from it. Or maybe that was just Killuaâs wishful thinking trying to sabotage himâŚ
Regardless, Killua conceded to letting Gon cook lunch for the two of them, and he decided to sit at the counter and watch. Even as Gon cracked the eggs into a bowl, eyebrows furrowed and tongue sticking out the side of his mouth from focus, Killua was enamored. It was appalling to Killua how Gon had managed to carve his way into his heart, when he was so sure that it had been locked far away, to keep it safe from harm.
Without thinking, Killua blurted out suddenly, âGon, I-â
He stopped almost as soon as heâd started. What was he thinking? He couldnât tell Gon how he felt, Gon would think heâs a weirdo! Killua nearly shut down as Gon looked up at him with a look of bewilderment on his face.
âWhatâs up? Donât tell me youâre sick, you look awful right now,â Gon pointed out playfully, although he did have a point in that Killua had gone intensely pale.
Killua shook his head, although he did feel fairly nauseous. He couldnât tell Gonâthat would ruin everything. Heâd already started talking against his own will, and now Gon was waiting for him to finish his statement that heâd started to adamantly.
âItâs- itâs nothing, donât worry about it,â Killua replied somewhat grumpily, more upset with himself than with Gon.
Gon gave him a look that indicated he didnât really believe that it was nothing, but he moved back to his eggs quick enough that Killua figured heâd moved on. And, well, he really hoped that he had.
Now it was like a torrent of doubt and criticism, unrelenting and screaming at Killua; telling him that heâd never be good enough for Gon, that even if he was, Gon would never feel that way about him, and every other horrible thought that could sneak itâs way into the dreadfulness that existed in Killuaâs brain. All that it took was one longing look at Gon, whose back was turned as he poured the eggs out into a skillet over the stove, and Killuaâs heart wanted to melt. It wanted to revel in the domesticity of the momentâbut Killuaâs brain, often times his own worst enemy, refused to allow.
Every part of Killua wanted to sit and admire Gon as he worked. For Godâs sake, he was in love with him, to the extent you could even call hopelessly, but he couldnât even allow himself the comfort of not overthinking the whole situation to ruins. There was not an atom of Killuaâs being that could accept even the concept that Gon would ever reciprocate his feelings, and bit by bit this was tearing him apart. Perhaps it had been long before Killua had put a title to the emotion he had been feeling, but he noticed it so much more now that it was nearly all he could think of, until he heard an excited gasp come from Gon, who spun around quickly to face Killua with a look of mischievous excitement that riled Killua up as much as it hurt him.
âI have a great idea,â Gon said, eyes glimmering in the bit of light that was shining into the kitchen.
Killua didnât respond, but leaned forward with a raised eyebrow as he awaited Gonâs âgreat idea.â
âItâs not snowing anymore, right?â
Killua couldnât exactly follow Gonâs train of thought, but he nodded unsurely.
âI have an extra pair of boots, and you already brought a coatâwe should go outside and play in the snow!â
âOutside?â Killua sputtered out, taken completely aback at Gonâs suggestion. âItâs still freezing and thereâs like, a foot of snow out there! Why would we do that?â
âWell, Killua, thereâs this really crazy concept called fun. Not sure if youâve heard of it, but you will if we go outside!â
Killua rolled his eyes and clicked his tongue. He knows what fun is, he just doesnât see the appeal in going outside only to freeze and have wet clothes. But, as Gon placed a plate full of scrambled eggs in front of him, Killua found any argument that he had dying on his tongue.
âFine,â Killua finally conceded, which led to a bout of cheering from Gon. âBut if we turn into icicles, youâd better take the blame.â
âYeah yeah, now hurry up and eat the best eggs youâve ever tasted so we can go,â Gon relied excitedly, shoveling the food into his mouth as soon as he was done speaking.
Killua laughed softly but followed suit, and to his surprise, the eggs really were incredible. Killua wasnât sure how Gon could manage to make such a simple meal so well, but something about rose colored glasses certainly came to mindâKillua was sure that heâd think anything Gon made was incredible.
The very second that he was done eating, Gon rushed out of the kitchen to get boots and gloves for both of them. Even from where Killua remained at the kitchen table, he could feel Gonâs energy teeming and it made him feel so stupidly lovesick that it hurt.
Killua looked at him with faux exasperation, although in reality he was trying to hold back just how much this whole day, or even this whole visit, was making him feel. It was all so much in every direction that an emotion can go, but right now Killua was focused on hiding any of those from Gon, who thankfully wasnât all too perceptive of Killuaâs often indecipherable expression.
Much to his chagrin, Gon had to help Killua balance as he shoved his feet into the boots. Although, he supposed, that was a much better alternative to falling on his face, even if his heart beat rampantly as he held onto Gonâs arm like a lifeline. Naturally, Gon just smiled and laughed, threw in a quick tease about Killuaâs ironic lack of grace, and took the whole thing in stride as if it were the most natural thing in the world. Oh, how Killua wished it were. If all of this could just be second nature to them, Killua was sure that he could be content with that.
In what felt like an exhaustible amount of time, both Killua and Gon were bundled up in as many layers as were comfortable to still move in, and ready to bound into the drifts of snow that had accumulated.
Killua had been correct in saying that there was more than a foot of snow on the ground; the blizzard certainly hadnât been a small one, but he also supposed that that gave him plenty enough ammunition to start a snowball fight.
As stealthily as possible, as soon as he followed Gon outside to the expansive area of land that was all theirs at the moment, Killua ducked down to the snow, forming a perfect snowball and smiling playfully to himself all the while.
Just as Gon was about to turn around and ask Killua what they should do first, Killua launched the snow at him, hitting him square in the shoulder and stunning him into a nearly speechless halt. Gon sputtered for a second, unsure of what to even say, before returning a smile to Killua that held fully his intent to destroy him⌠with snowballs.
Killua took the sign instantly and started running, as quickly as possible in so much snow, to avoid the incoming torrent of snowballs coming from Gon, all while trying to pick up some as he ran, only narrowly avoiding the snow until finally one connected with his back as heâd been running away.
âOh you-!â he started to shout, before forming another ball in an instant and whipping it back at a smiling and laughing Gon.
If Killua hadnât been so focused on trying to hit such a quickly moving target, he was sure his heart would have exploded. The cold made Gon look even more stunning that he already thought he did, with his reddened cheeks and nose and his laughing breath forming a cloud out in front of him.
However, Killuaâs mind instead focused on hitting Gon with as many snowballs as he possibly could, which proved to be a more than challenging task, especially when Gon decided to hide behind trees and bushes, springing up out of nowhere and giving Killua merely a split second to react and dodge.
Killua too found himself laughing almost incessantly as he threw and dodged, until one chunk of snow came hurling at his face from God knows what direction, knocking him flat on his back. Killua have a groan of defeatâhe hadnât even seen where Gon had thrown that from, but it had certainly been a good throw.
Even as he was laying in the snow, Killua couldnât help but smile fondly. Everything felt so simple like this. It felt like it was once again Gon and Killua, and the rest of the world was entirely null and void.
As Gon came bounding up to check on Killua, he was surprised to see such a dopey smile on his friends face. When he asked if Killua was okay, however, all the latter could think to reply with was, âGosh, youâre lucky I love you.â
Even as the words came out of Killuaâs lips, he found that they felt so right. He did love Gon. The problem lies in the fact that he was pretty sure heâd just said that out loud. And judging by the shocker expression on Gonâs face as he stood above him, he was certain that heâd just signed his own death warrant.
âWait, I didnât, shit,â Killua tried to back track, although he couldnât find it in himself to say that he hadnât meant it. He just wished that he hadnât been so stupid as to say it out loud.
âKillua,â Gon started, eyes still blown wide, âdo you⌠do you really love me?â
Killua felt like a stake was being driven harshly through his heart. He couldnât read an ounce of the expression on Gonâs face, and this entire situation was killing him slowly, as if the snowball hit had been lethal.
Words couldnât seem to find their way to Killua, so instead, he chose to nod his head slowly, closing his eyes, refusing to embrace the embarrassment any further.
Suddenly, however, Killua felt a weight on top of him that nearly crushed the air out of his lungs. When his eyes flashed open, Gon was merely inches away from his face, making Killuaâs already red face flush an even deeper crimson.
âGon, what-â
Instead of interrupting Killua with words, like perhaps he was prone to do at times, Gon cut Killua off by placing a quick, sweet kiss to the tip of his freezing nose.
Killua felt like heâd short circuited. Surely the snowball had just knocked him out and this was all a dream, right? That seemed to make infinitely more sense than whatever his brain was making up right now.
But no, this was not a dream or even a bout of wishful thinkingâas Killua soon realized as Gon smiled at him more brightly than the sun reflecting off of the snow all around them. Killua knew it was real then because of the way his heart flipped in his chest; no dream could make him feel quite that in love.
âI love you too, Killua.â
Killuaâs mouth dropped as he stared helplessly up at Gon, who seemed to be able to handle all of this with ease and poise that heâd never had before.
âAre you serious? Youâre not just messing with me right now?â Killua found himself asking incredulously.
Gon beamed, âWhy would I be kidding right now? Killua, whatâs not to love?â
Killua was positive his heart had just burst. A flood of emotion threatened to drown him in that moment. What wasnât to love? In Killuaâs mind, he couldnât find anything worth half a thought to anyone, and here Gon was telling him that there was nothing not to love? Killua felt like he was just about to faint.
Gon giggled at the way Killua flushed under his words, and moved himself off of Killua so that he was laying right next to him now. Just as sneakily as heâd thrown the snowball, Gon snaked his gloved hand into Killuaâs.
The snow around them was freezing and would have been uncomfortable if either boy could even fathom to take in their surroundings. But right here, hand in hand, both smiling like lovesick idiots, Gon and Killua felt that the bond and love between them could melt straight through any snowstorm.
this is the first thing iâve written for hunter x hunter in so long but i had a blast. @killugonvalentines iâve said it before but this event was run and organized beautifully, so great job to you! i hope that everyone (especially my valentine, @libraspectra) loved reading this :))
