I’ve got a question for you, @blue-mood-blue, and maybe @twiggy-mouse can add their perspective too!
xxxHolic and xxxHolic arrived for the library, but the call numbers confuse me.
xxxHolic has FLA for the translator/adapted by Flannagan.
xxxHolic has CLA for Clamp, the group that created it; the translator is Paul.
I asked the cataloguer responsible for putting the books int the system, but I didn’t really get what she told me since she contradicted herself.
She said FLA was so because he was the adapter/translator, and CLA for the company that created it...well, xxxHolic is published by Kodansha comics (I’ve checked).
I’m confused since it doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, and she didn’t really explain it’s this way. I want to know why it has to be catalogued this way.
Is there anything you’ve learned in your studies about this?
