The wickedness of America is in its original sin and the continuing discrimination of black and brown people. It is in allowing a single mother to live in poverty because she could not finish her education, because the father of her children is in prison and the rest of the world has the gall to say she brought this upon her self and she should work hard like the rest of us. Our sin is the immigrant families we tear apart because we won’t allow them to come into this country legally. Our sin is in the crowds of protesters intimidating women on the way to clinics, in the person in the gutter being kicked and called slurs for their gender or sexuality.Â
Our sin is in letting entire nations with in our own borders commit suicide at the highest rates of anyone because they are cut off and starved out of their homeland. Our sin is in our wars and the lies we tell ourselves about those wars.Â
So tell me again why banning prayer in school is running this country.Â

Unpopular opinion: Boys can cry and be emotional too. We shouldn't repress the emotions of boys and tell them to stop crying and "be a man". Men can cry. Presidents cry. Jesus cried. Police officers, firefighters, wrestlers, football players, and soldiers cry. And these are men. Powerful men cry. Powerful men show emotion. How did we end up with Shakespeare, Voltaire, and Verne without strong emotions showing? It's time to end the stigma of men hiding emotions. 2015 is the year of change.
Today at work I had to give a tour of the station to a group of 3rd grade Boy Scouts from eastern Arkansas and one of them all of a sudden started spouting off, "We just had an election and now the Republicans control the Senate! Â It's about time. Â In Arkansas we got rid of the incumbent Mark Pryor and elected Tom Cotton, isn't that great?" And it literally took every ounce of strength I had not to crouch down next to that child and say "No, it's not great, because I'm a tree-hugging, queer, Jewish feminist with no desire to let the government run my fucking vagina while they kick defenseless, abused children out of the country and decimate funding for your education, which you obviously need more than your bigot parents think you do."
