So I haven’t been doing much besides art memes lately, but I do have things in progress that I want to let you guys know about! Mostly, it’s just that I’ve been in school and finals are right around the corner and that means I’ve had essays shoved down my throat :/

I’ve got the next Libenter chapter about halfway done, and the next Iustitia chapter is also in the works, maybe only about 2/5 for that one.

Empire Fashion Monthly!! I have the cover complete, I’ve done line art for a couple of pages and will be coloring soon. If you’re in the magazine, I’d appreciate it if you could dump a ton of screen shots on me, that’d be awesome. I’m trying to have a bunch of primary sources to work from, so I can keep my art consistent. 

Regular art: I’m going to keep doing doodle art memes because I can do those pretty quick and they are a welcome relief from finals hell. I’m also probably going to mess around with some paintings for a bit, see what works.

I understand the consequences of discussing slavery given today’s social context. I know that this is still a very real and very pressing issue and I understand that some people don’t think it should be talked about in fanfiction at all, and not through a explicit-rated fic. 

I am completely open to any mature and reasonable discussions about this and if there’s a specific tag you want me to post, please let me know and I will tag everything as soon as possible with that tag. 

Hi! I’m glad you say you like the other content I produce - If you read my main fic Iustitia, you’d know that I write about slavery A LOT. Mostly talking about how horrible it is, and how characters (Vette and Gimrizh) deal with both internalized and societal racism. Fun fact! Writing about something is not the same as condoning it. I can write about a dynamic like this to explore power play between these characters without actually saying their relationship is okay. In fact, I do! It’s called tagging! See, when I tag this fic (which I did, both on AO3 and in the art post’s description) as ‘unhealthy relationship dynamic’ that means that I know it’s not an okay relationship and I’m also telling readers that it’s not okay. People can be very aware and educated about these terrible issues and still write about them in a rational manner without ever acting as though these issues are or should be acceptable. There’s a difference between justification and exploration. 

I appreciate your dedication to shaming me for this though - all that vagueblogging AND sending a similar ask to my beta? Clearly you wanted me to know that you were pissed off. I tag everything about this fic as #Libenter in case you want to block the tag
