A/N: Difficult prompt, because Sarian is not really one to caress others. I figured he’d just do it to mess with Lialnan. During public events, haha.

"We already know each other," I interrupted our host and turned to greet the new arrival.

Yes, I used to know this one well, one could even say ‘intimately’. The ghost of a smile tugged at my lips as I took in his appearance. Lialnan had not changed much since our days in the Academy.

He bowed as custom demanded and greeted me with a knowing smile.

So he remembered too. Good.

When we all sat down for dinner I walked behind him, letting my hand rest on his back in a gesture that would seem almost cordial to a casual observer. I could feel his muscles tensing under my touch. It wasn't from fear or suspicion, however. Through the force I sensed his anticipation soar.

Still so very predictable, hm?

It was just a brief caress, but the gazes he threw me all evening were both questioning and hopeful. I ignored them, but whenever I walked by his chair, I let my hand stroke lightly over his back when no one was watching.

It's strange being told at this age that you are the one in charge of continuing the family bloodline. Not your little brothers, but you.

"You are the head of the family when your father passes, Arehmot," his mother says softly, kissing her oldest son's head. One of their younger tauntauns curls up next to him on the bed. "Maker hope that it isn't any time soon, but you never know."

Continue the bloodline and keep it pure -- Arehmot remembers hearing his father say that once. 

(Three year old Lialnan sticks his tongue out at him. It's as if he knows he's safe to do as he pleases.

I've come to the conclusion that Arehmot's and Lialnan's parents raise tauntaun, hence why Arehmot has little Percy, and Lialnan has his own tauntaun, Remy.
