Marnie Stern – “For Ash” s/t, 2010
I got a Spotify message about two years ago asking if I'd "heard of this chica" and the rest in history. This song completely floored me; I'd never heard anything like it. I proceeded to listen to this song and eventually the entire album on repeat for days and daysssssss.
Marnie Stern is an incredibly underrated and talented musician whose guitar skills drove me up a wall and then some (in a good way).
If you like crazy shredded riffs paired with some insane drumming (by Zach Hill of Hella) and catchy/empowering melodies, you'd like this. Check out the entire album.

Found this song through the Last.fm radio station that played a mix of your Loved songs and recommendations. It wasn't like anything I'd normally listened to at the time (which was a scramble in itself I guess; I was going through a lot of changes so my music choices weren't too cohesive hah).
If you're a sucker for experimental electornic, Witch House-y elements (like hella deep bass, reversed sounds, samples up the wazoo, etc.) you'll like this.
