LEWIS POST QUALI IN SINGAPORE FINISHING P6 | 04.10.25
âIâve enjoyed it, I felt on it all weekend, I felt good in the car. Maybe silly me, but I thought we were fighting for top positions. Just the way the plan goes, where we end up waiting in the pit lane, losing tyre temperatures, using the tyre in the outlap then coming in⌠Then temperature effect⌠All these different things add up to not optimizing the session.â
âWe have to do some work to try and figure out how to optimize these sessions better.â Have a conversation with the team about it? âWeâll talk in the background, I think itâs just about having a conversation about it and continuing to improve. Just continue and try to improve the process. Everyone working as hard as we can. We also have to look at what the others are doing because if you look at Mercedes, they were out first and they didnât lose any tyre temperate and theyâre in front [as opposed to us]. Weâre waiting and turning the car off at the end of the pit lane, just ends up losing 5 or 6 degrees and itâs really hard to get that back in the outlap. When I got to Q3 I just had nothing. I just lost half a second in performance, just from the tyres. That's frustrating, but I'll try my best tomorrow."
