What inspired you to be more active away from football, in the #PlayersTogether campaign and your involvement with LGBTQ rights and anti-cyberbullying?

I suppose that as you get older you become more comfortable within yourself. Life experiences teach you a lot and I have tried to be more confident and to use my voice and my platform as a footballer to help people and support them in subjects that I’m passionate about or have some experience of dealing with myself. I felt it was something that was really important at the time and I’ll continue to do so, because I feel it would be wrong for me not to speak out about things that are big issues and things I can help with.
