It was already 8 a.m., and I had promised my best friend that I’d meet her at 8:45 to spend some time together. Letting out a sigh, I watched as my coffee filled the cup. Just then, the sound of footsteps caught my attention, and when I turned around, I saw Florian standing there, looking half-asleep.

I couldn’t help but chuckle at the sight before shifting my focus back to my coffee. Within moments, Florian was beside me, slipping his arms around my waist and resting his head in the crook of my neck.

"Sorry if I woke you," I murmured, comforted by the familiar warmth of his embrace.

In his groggy morning voice, he mumbled, "Komm zurück ins Bett. " Come back to bed.

I simply laughed softly and shook my head. Before I could grab my coffee, Florian snatched the cup from the machine, holding it high above my reach as I tried to take it from him.

"Flo, quit acting like a child. I’m already running late to meet—"

Before I could finish my sentence, he pressed his lips against mine, effectively silencing me. I roll my eyes not allowing myself to fall for his trap and then playfully nipped at his lower lip, knowing exactly how much he liked it. As expected, he let his arm drop, giving me the perfect opportunity to reclaim my cup. I kissed him once more before pulling away, smirking as I said, "Thank you very much," and taking a sip of my freshly brewed coffee.
