yeah no I'm basically fine It's just that when Vash looked into Legato's eyes he saw "bottomless pits"
but later, towards the end of the story, Legato looks into Vash's eyes and he sees himself

it is a huge omission that the modern adaptation of trigun did not show that Legato saw himself in Vash and it killed him, it hurt him. yes, they showed Legato's obsession with Vash as a second God, but that's not it. I would like to see this parallel with Vash. but for this, it would be necessary to show Legato's past and why he sees himself in Vash. studio Orange didn't do it. it is sad. It's very sad.

chapter 4 of my post-trimax levash fic is up 💙
Vash continues to stroke his hair. It’s strange. Legato keeps thinking he’ll stop soon, or he’ll do something else. But Vash hasn’t grabbed a rough fistful and yanked. And he isn’t slowly rubbing a blue lock between forefinger and thumb, playing at sensuality. He’s…normal about it. Like Legato is an ailing dog he found outside a saloon and he’s petting it, without expectation, for lack of something better to do.
It doesn’t feel terrible.
art based on a scene i very much enjoyed in @corduroyserpent's fic rotten work :] highly recommend it to EVERYONE
