I was a frustrated (preschool) homeschooler/home educator. It was so hard for me (at times, exasperating even!) to get my little girl’s attention during our learning sessions, that I had to finally make a decision to enroll her in a preschool. After all, it was high time (lil E is now 4 years old), and I felt that her profile as a child may not be fit for homeschooling. And I was right! We’ve only been in school for 2 weeks, and every day she is excited and so pumped for school! Her teachers rave about her interest in crafts so I decided to carry on at home, the lessons they have in school. This week is all about the “letter E”.

Here’s a low down of our preschool “crafternoon”. Feel free to adopt these ideas, and share your own as well:

                                           E is for EARTH

                              E is for EUNICE (my little girl’s name)

                                                  E is for EGG

                                          E is for EGGPLANT

                                           E is for ELEPHANT

                                     E is for Eskimo puppet

                                     Stamping the letter Ee

Momma Arsenal (Materials Used):

Scissors

Construction paper

Recycled card board

Popsicle stick or any recycled stick

Elmer’s glue

Wobbly eyes (got these from the bookstore/school supplies section)

Oslo paper

Recycled/repurposed brown paper from brown shopping paper bags

Black permanent marker

Letter stamps (you may also create your own using colored foam “paper” from a craft store, or with sponges you have around the house)

Yellow chalk (to draw the “stars” in the “Earth” craft, but you may sub this with paper or whatever material you have lying around at home)
