| S P A R K L E R | Last one for the day. I love fireworks. I thought about something today. I thought about how fortunate I am to be where I am today. Not just to be living in America where freedom is a right and not a rarity, but to be living in my skin. I can see, I can sing, and I can eat. It's easy to take for granted my freedom to bask in the warmth of good company, or to scarf down a healthy helping of some barbecue, or to watch the night sky filled with colors and light. I thought about those on this earth who can't watch a fireworks display, those whose eyes have been darkened and can't enjoy the lights streaking across the night sky. I'm free from much, but sometimes live my life as if I've been shackled. Paul tells us Christians that It was for freedom that Christ had set us free. He tells us that we should stand firm and not submit to that yoke of slavery anymore. I've been set free to enjoy God freely, no longer hindered or shackled to that darkness that only brought me wrong. It is my prayer that those of us who have been brought near to Christ will stand firm in Him and to cling ever so dearly to the grace-bought freedom that He gives and to live our lives abundantly as He enables us to do. It is also my pray for those of us who have yet to be brought into The fold of Christ, that we begin to honestly ask the questions we all must ask and to seek honestly the answers to the very same. Freely live the life Christ had called you to live.
