Cailean opted to be in human form for this task, to prevent scaring the prisoners, but even so his had to constantly get fetched by co-workers from all over the arrest area.

Cailean also had trouble handling the fingerprint machine. This could get attributed to his Wolf Brain handicap, but more likely Moonwood Mill is still using ink pads for taking fingerprints.

Cailean’s prisoner set a record with SIX rounds of searching (two are normal), four of those yielding unique objects. Two knifes followed by a fish got this man on the hook for fishing without license - the knifes were his own, taken to the crime scene in preparation for making sashimi.

It took the sting of defeat...

It doesn’t make sense in the story, but Daniel had to defeat Greg to master his werewolf aspiration, so I had to get this out of the way before making Greg playable. I had prepared Daniel for this fight by getting him into Very Confident (in addition to the Apex perk and Fitness 10), but even so Greg mauled him.

Afterwards Daniel had a tense, embarassed and angry moodlet each buried beneath a dominant Playful, while Greg was just Confident. Daniel with his emotional coctail defeated Greg in the second round. He made sure to leave his mark before he rode away.

Greg had never spent that much time in human form as he had during the TV show. In fact, before biting Tina and Daniel last year, he hadn’t been able to shape back to human at all.

After participating in Let’s Investigate, however, he got a haircut and three tatoos. Never before had the young man felt the need to change anything about his body... And that wasn’t the only thing that was changing...

Apparently Rory Oaklow was Greg’s Fated Mate!

They were a bit conflicted about this, with Rory in my setting being twenty years younger than Greg. As a boy he had taken Rory’s ancestor five generations ago for walks!

Having a first kiss through the paperbag was okay, but kissing hands not protected by gloves apparently went too far already.

In any case, having a Fated Mate stabilizes a werewolf, but for the final push to a balanced dual nature Greg required the help of Luna.

After performing the Lunar Howl, he no longer suffered from the Wolf Brain, and had even gained a Lunar Mark, that would slow his fury accumulation and energy decay.

That was great, but also a bit much - immediately after the howl Greg broke into rampage mode.

And how does the winner feel now?

Good! Gooder than good, the bestest! In fact, I might not be able to stop myself from marking territory before I go home, to leave proof that I owned everyone and this whole place. That’s wolf brain talking, of course. Human brain wants to braaaag about victory aaaaall the time.

What was the best about the experience?

That it was... new? Stimulating, definitely. Human brain and wolf brain more aligned now, all from being away from home for extended time, doing stuff Greg never did before. Should have done so earlier.

See, in before-time, Greg protected Moonwood Mill, but as a Lone wolf. Now was part of something, of team. Plus, DPD officer are even weirder than Greg, but still get things done. Encouraging thought!

Orange re-joined the Bailey-Moon household at B-M Towers, although only for a little while.

Any parting words?

We’ve all had fun and became good friends...

With that out of the way, any parting feelings, maybe?

It sucks. Losing really sucks. I mean, I will of course get over it and looking back at those weeks will become a major source of positive feelings, but only in the future. Right now I wanna pout in a corner.

What are your plans now?

Oh, I think I shouldn’t branch out too much. You know, now that I’ve stepped into the limelight, I’m known as the Investigator guy. So instead of entering a talent or survival show next, I want to capitalize on what I’ve started:

I want to become a (Private) Paranormal Investigator for real!

Helping people while getting famous for it while not being part of the police hierarchy - what’s not to like about that?
