The constant lock downs to prevent the stop the spread of the corona virus has taught us an important lesson of economy. Itās called the tenth apple effect, we humans stop appreciating things as we own them in abundance. Just imagine the state of a hungry traveler, who is abandoned in the jungle for several days without food, as he discovers an apple tree, he is grateful to life and thanks god for it. He starts eating those apples pleasantly, but as he eats more apples, his is less grateful for each of them, after eating the tenth apple, he even starts throwing away the bitter ones. Same is the case with of life, as we had an abundance of resources we started complaining about life until now, when even staying alive seems so grateful during these tough times.Ā
