Selamat Hari Batik Nasional Tanggal 2 Oktober 2009, UNESCO megukuhkan BATIK sebagai Warisan Kemanusiaan untuk Budaya Lisan dan Nonbendawi (Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity). Sejak saat itu, di Indonesia setiap tanggal 2 oktober diperingati sebagai hari batik nasional. Le 2 octobre 2009, le Batik indonésien a été inscrit sur la Liste représentative du patrimoine culturel immatériel de l’humanité de l'UNESCO. Depuis ce temps, le Jour de Batik est tenu en 2 octobre chaque année en Indonésie pour marquer cette date et célébrer cet héritage culturel. On October 2nd 2009, Indonesian Batik was inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
