While Danny understood the precautions being taken, he was anxious to see who was living inside the walls of Haven. Did anyone he know make it? Would he have to take an excursion out again to search for them? Did they have enough room for him? Should he have just stayed where he was and let someone know he was alright? Somehow? A million thoughts raced though his mind, he didn’t even notice any of the tests being run on him. He was glad he got to keep the supplies from K’un Lun. He wanted to make sure someone with a medical background got a hold of them before anyone else. He also needed to explain what all was there. Everything else he handed over more than willingly, not that there was much. Taking his two remaining bags he was allowed inside. He was told where some common areas were, somewhere he could wait while they found him a living space. He was sure to stress he didn’t need much room at all, he could take the smallest accommodations they had. No need for him to take an entire room to himself. Danny didn’t have much in the way of personal items anyway.
He headed inside to the nearest common area. He figured his chances were better in there than out in the cold. Not everyone could deaden their senses to this sort of chill. Besides, a nice safe place to sit sounded nice right about now. He’d been on his own for a month or so, always on edge in that dilapidated vacation house his parents owned and never once visited. This was finally a chance to relax and catch his breath. If only for the moment.
