Oiwi looked above at the large sign hanging over the entrance to the battle lobby. So he was really going to try this again, huh?
He’d never really been too familiar with the concept of turf war until recently. Although he’d been eligible to participate three years ago, he was pretty avoidant of it until now - easiest way to avoid being harassed by Inklings was by avoiding the battles they congregated at. But at the same time, for reasons he wasn’t sure of, he’d been wanting to get more involved in them. Maybe he wanted a sense of normalcy or he felt obligated to get involved in the one sport this city revolved around? He didn’t know, and maybe it didn’t matter.
He stepped inside the lobby area and joined the queue for Turf War. The place wasn’t too busy this time of day, a deliberate choice since he noticed things usually went worse for him when he was dealing with the usual crowd. Sometimes he’d run into players would solely target him, tease him mid-match, or even teammates who’d try to slip him up.
Usually when it wasn’t so busy that meant the more skilled players were the ones looking for matches now - ones who actually played the game and didn’t care about who he was. A larger skill gap between him and the others maybe, but at least he could just worry about the game instead of constantly keeping an eye out to make sure his immature teammates wasn’t going to stab him in the back.
Oiwi was lost in thought as he moved with the line, quietly thinking about how this might go. This would be the...fourth match he’d played? Fifth, maybe? He’d understood the basics of turf by now, and even though he'd getting wiped against the floor with his team had still managed to win a couple of those matches and score a few kills. All things considered maybe not too bad of a start. Nothing to brag about...but experience is the best teacher, yeah?

So ... Cap’s played against good chargers. (Like, really good chargers. Scary good.) She’s also had E-liter as a secondary for years now. She knows how chargers work. This charger, though....
Her team’s winning the match by a landslide, so she doesn’t have much to do --- of course she notices the poor thing off by himself on that one ledge of The Reef (okay, he wasn’t a total dumbass).
