little bonus based on floofty’s cocomite dialogue

@fluffyglass had the idea of making a Bugsnak baby with Yolka and they encouraged Snakpack to make their own. And here’s my take on them.

Gamers, meet Pina and Colada, two fucked up Bugsnak babies based on Greater and Lesser Cocomite. They’re twins but they couldn’t be any more different. They’re currently raised by Frazzle (partially because they don’t want to abandon them but also because they want them to get a better childhood than they did), and Floofty (at first to observe their development but they learn to love these lil beans.)

LESSER COCOMITE

Now that Greater Cocomite isn’t here, I can let you in on a little secret. I don’t actually think it’s greater...! Despite their names, I don’t really put either Cocomite objectively over the other. Functionally, they are identical, and their bond makes them powerful! They have no need to create a hierarchy.

In fact, I like Lesser Cocomite more, personally! Its single straw gives it a funnier look, like a tubular snoot rather than tusks. Though, from certain angles it can end up looking even MORE like an elephant than Greater Cocomite, with its white flesh feet looking like tusks with its straw as a trunk! I also just love the way it is looking to the side in its art, like it is looking at something nice just out of frame. If Greater insists upon considering itself the leader, then I think Lesser can take it easy how it pleases.

I will use this picture again, just because it is still relevant. Another thing I like about Lesser Cocomite is that it is the side of the coconut with the “holes”! The superior part, I think. While they don’t LOOK like bugs at all, I think Cocomites just FEEL buggy, honestly. It’s the way they scuttle, with the sort of cartoon bug walking sound that doesn’t exist in real life.

I was initially going to just copy the Greater Cocomite post and replace some words for this one, as a Jape, but there is really too much unique stuff to say about each, even with their similarities!
