acheron x singer! reader ueueueueueuheeu sobbing acheron my baby fem reader btw!!.
The lake had always been a special place.
It was where the summers smelled of damp earth and rain-kissed petals. Where the water was cool against bare feet, and fireflies danced like tiny fallen stars in the dusk.
It was where you and Acheron had spent their days togetherâtwo souls intertwined in a world that only belonged to them.
Standing at the waterâs edge now, you could almost hear the echoes of their laughter, carried by the evening wind.
And then, like a gentle tide, the memories began to resurface. . . . . . . . .
"Race you to the water!"
The sound of feet pounding against the wooden dock, Acheronâs indigo-purple hair whipping in the wind as she sprinted ahead, mischief glinting in her sharp violet eyes. The lake was their kingdom, and the dock was their throne.
The singerâthen just a girl with a heart full of dreamsâchased after her, breathless and grinning. But Acheron was always faster.
A splash. A shriek. And thenâlaughter.
Acheron emerged from the water first, brushing her soaked hair back with an exaggerated flip. "Tch. Too slow, as always."
"Thatâs because you cheat!"
"Itâs called strategy."
You pouted, crossing her arms. "One day, Iâll beat you."
Acheron chuckled, floating on her back, looking up at the sky as if she could reach out and pluck the stars from it. "Iâll be waiting, then."
"You really believe in all that fate stuff?"
They sat on the dock one evening, feet dangling over the edge, watching the ripples distort their reflections in the water.
Acheron had a way of talking about the world like she knew something no one else did. Like she saw the strings that connected everythingâthings beyond what human eyes could comprehend.
"I donât know about fate," the singer admitted, hugging her knees. "But I think some people are meant to meet. Like us."
Acheron turned to her then, eyes soft, unreadable. "Then what do you think weâre meant for?"
The singer hesitated, feeling something unfamiliar bloom in your chest. "Forever," you said finally. "I think weâre meant to be in each otherâs lives forever."
Acheron smiledâsmall, almost sad. "Forever is a long time."
"I donât care."
The words came so easily back then, spoken with the certainty only youth could afford.
And in that moment, under the sky painted in twilight hues, Acheron looked at her as if she wanted to believe in forever, too.
"Sing for me."
Acheron had always loved your voice.
No matter how much you protested, no matter how much you groaned about being "shy" or "not in the mood," Acheron never let it go.
"Please? Just one song," she would say, flopping down onto the grass dramatically, arms spread wide as if she were about to die from disappointment.
So, with a roll of your eyes and a fond smile, you would sing.
Softly, at first. But then the melody would take her, lifting into the air, weaving through the trees and across the lake like a spell.
Acheron would close her eyes, listening, utterly still.
And when the song ended, she would always say the same thing:
"One day, the world is going to hear you, too."
But the world never got the chance to hear her sing for Acheron again.
Because one dayâAcheron disappeared.
Without a word. Without a trace.
Gone.
People said she was radiant. A voice that could bring people to tears. A star in human form.
You smiled in interviews, laughed at award shows, held the hands of fans who told her she had changed their lives.
But at night, when you returned to an empty hotel room, when you took off the expensive dress and wiped the makeup off your tired face, when you would stare at yourself in the mirror with eyes filled with loathâ not for someone, but for yourself.
And you were alone.
You would stare at your own reflection, feeling like an imposter in your own skin. Why? You had everything she had ever dreamed ofâfame, fortune, a life filled with admiration.
So why did you feel like you had nothing at all?
Because the one person who had believed in you before anyone else was gone.
Because Acheronâs absence was a wound that never healed.
You had written songs about loss, about love, about the feeling of something slipping through your fingers before you even had the chance to hold it properly.
But the world never knew those songs were for Acheron.
And so you sang- You sang in front of the audience, telling a story. A story moving everyones heart, Not knowing that story was about you.
"Some nights, she would wake up gasping for air, her body cold with sweat.
In those dreams, She was always calling for her. Always reaching out with desperate hands. Always disappearing into the darkness while she stood frozen, powerless.
"She would wake up with the same thoughts circling in her headâI should have done something. I should have noticed. I should have saved her."
"She had been so happy back then, wrapped up in the warmth of their days together, blind to the storm building inside She"
"Had she missed the signs?"
"Had She ever needed her in a way she had never realized?"
"The thoughts never left her. They clung to her ribs, wrapped around her throat like a noose."
"She didnât deserve to move on."
"She didnât deserve to be happy."
"So, she sang."
"Not because she loved it, but because she needed to."
"Because every song was an apology."
"Every note was a plea for forgiveness."
"Every performance was a punishment."
You stood by the lake now, with your fingers trembling.
You hadnât sung in days.
You used to sing to reach Acheron. But slowly, day by day you lost hope and then you had stopped believing Acheron would ever hear you.
And yetâŠ
You closed your eyes, taking in the stillness of the night, the way the water mirrored the sky.
Then, softly, you sang.
The same song
She stood by the lake now, her fingers trembling.
She hadnât sung in days.
She used to sing to reach Acheron. But she had stopped believing Acheron would ever hear her.
And yetâŠ
She closed her eyes, taking in the stillness of the night, the way the water mirrored the sky.
Then, softly, she sang.
The same song you had always sung here. The same melody Acheron had always begged for.
The notes drifted through the air, blending with the rustling leaves and the rippling water.
And for the first time in years, you let herself believeâjust for a momentâthat Acheron was listening.
And that was when you heard it.
A whisper. A ripple in the water.
A presence.
You opened her eyesâ
And from the depths of the lake, something rose.
The lake stirred.
The melody that had once belonged to only you and Acheron now lingered in the night air, weaving through the mist that clung to the waterâs surface. But something was different.
The stillness shattered.
A ripple distorted the reflection of the moon. A figure began to rise from the depths, slow, deliberateâlike something awakening from a long slumber.
She couldnât breathe.
A pair of black eyes pierced through the dark, their irises adorned with deep red orchid-like markings. They were empty yet endless, holding something ancient, something unknowable.
Then the rest of her emerged.
A siren.
She was beautiful.
Horrifyingly so.
Her skin was adorned with dark purple and crimson scales that glistened like wet gemstones. They traced the curve of her arms and neck, shimmering with an unnatural glow under the moonlight. Her hair, deep violet streaked with strands of ghostly white, floated around her as though the water still clung to her, refusing to let go.
Her lips, darkened with a cold, bruised hue, remained pressed together in an eerie silence.
But the most terrifying part was her stillness.
She did not move with the breath of life but with the weight of something that did not belong in this world.
Something cursed.
Something damned.
The water lapped at the shore, kissing the tips of your boots, yet the siren remained where she was, standing half-submerged in the lake. Watching.
Waiting.
The siren then slowly walks towards you, hips swaying as water drips down from her drenched indigo purple hair.
Then the siren lifted a hand to her face. A mask.
A black, jagged mask had covered the upper half of her features, blending with the shadows of the night. It had been there since the moment she rose from the water, concealing somethingâsomething she wasnât meant to see.
A single claw tapped against it.
Thenâ
"Do you seek to heal the hole in your heart?"
Your stomach twisted.
Howâ
How did she know?
Your hands clenched into fists, the nails digging into the soft skin of your palms.
ââŠYes.â
The siren stepped closer, close enough that the air between them felt charged, suffocating.
"Then make a deal with me."
Her voice was like a song with no melody, a whisper that slithered into the spaces between her ribs, curling around her spine.
"I will take away your pain. I will fill the void within you. You will never be empty again."
Your lips parted, your breath shallow.
A deal.
With a creature you did not understand.
With something that radiated danger and yet⊠felt so familiar.
And yetâ
Your heart ached.
You were tired of feeling hollow.
Tired of pretending.
Tired of searching for someone who was never coming back.
ââŠAlright,â you whispered. âI accept.â
The sirenâs lips curled into the faintest hint of a smile.
"Then it is done."
And just like thatâ
The curse began.
The siren never left your side.
You woke up the next morning to find the siren crouched near your window, staring at the sky with an unreadable expression.
It was an eerie sightâthose black eyes reflecting the morning light, the soft glow of her violet scales shimmering against her bare arms. Yet there was something almost human in the way she sat, her hands resting delicately on the window frame.
ââŠDo you ever sleep?â You asked asked groggily, rubbing your eyes.
The siren turned her head slightly, the gesture smooth and fluid, as if she were still moving through water.
"No."
A pause.
Thenâ
"I watch over you."
A shiver ran down your spine. It should have been unsettling. It should have frightened your ass.
But instead, your heart stuttered in her chest.
ââŠThat sounds lonely,â you murmured under your breath whilst your fingers fidget with her necklace.
The siren did not answer.
But when the singer got up to make tea, you heard soft footsteps follow you into the kitchen.
The siren learned to exist in her world with an effortless grace, moving like a shadow that was always just behind you, just beside her.
She was quiet but present.
If the singer went to the studio, the siren waited outside, sitting by the garden fountain with the stillness of a statue.
If you had spent hours writing lyrics, the siren would settle near your soft body whilst laying her head on your lap, wordless, as if keeping watch over something fragile.
And at night, when the loneliness used to creep into her bones, you would turn over and see a pair of black eyes watching you through the dim moonlight.
A silent reminder: I am here.
You started talking to her more, asking things you never expected answers to.
âDo you like music?â
"I like your voice."
ââŠDo you ever feel sad?â "Not when I am with you." Your heart ached at that. You never asked why. You never questioned how a siren had come to care for you this much.
Your stupid ass just let it happen.
And for the first time since Acheron disappeared, you let yorself feel happy.
The siren had become yours.
And you had become the sirenâs.
You knew it wasnât normal, this connection between them. A creature that wasnât human, tethered to you in ways that you didnât understand. Not one bit.
But you didnât care. You sang along with her in peace, stroking her soft hair, decorating the red orchids on her body. Cherishing her.
You laughed again. You sang without guilt. You stopped waking up in cold sweats, haunted by memories of Acheronâs absence.
Because the siren had filled the emptiness.
Because you werenât alone anymore.
And maybeâjust maybeâthis was enough.
Maybe this was love.
But love was never meant to last forever.
The siren had never looked at her like this before.
They had spent weeks togetherâsilent walks by the lake, whispered conversations under the moonlight, stolen moments of quiet joy. You had come to rely on the sirenâs presence, to need her in ways you had never needed anyone else.
But tonightâŠ
Something was wrong.
The siren stood before you, unmoving, the dark waters at her feet lapping hungrily at the shore. The wind was still. The air, heavy. The sirenâs black eyes held something different nowâsomething unreadable, something broken.
ââŠWhatâs wrong?â you whispered.
The siren did not answer.
Instead, she reached up, her clawed fingers ghosting over the mask that had always hidden her face.
A slow, deliberate movement.
Thenâ
The mask fell away.
And beneath itâ
You saw her.
Acheron.
You couldnât breathe.
The girl before youâthe siren, the creature you had grown to loveâwas not a stranger at all.
It was Acheron.
The same Acheron who had laughed with you on warm afternoons, who had held her hand during thunderstorms, who had believed in your voice before anyone else.
The same Acheron you had lost.
Her lips parted, but no sound came out.
Acheron stared at you, her black eyes unreadable. The violet scales shimmered beneath the moonlight, but now she could see itâthe remnants of who she used to be, buried beneath the curse.
ââŠAcheron,â you choked out.
Something shattered in the sirenâs expression.
Then, softlyâ
"You remember me."
A breathless, fragile whisper.
Tears welled in your eyes. âOf course I doâhow could I ever forget you? IâI thought you were gone, I thought Iâd neverââ
"I never left."
The words made you tremble.
"I have always been here."
But your hands shook, tears spilling from your eyes. âBut⊠how? What happened to you?â
Acheron closed her eyes.
Then, she spoke the words that would tear your world apart.
"I was cursed for taking my own life." The night around them felt heavier, suffocating, as if the stars themselves were mourning.
"I was drowning long before I ever touched the water," Acheron whispered, her voice hollow.
"You were there, but I never let you see. I thought I could bear it alone. I thought it would be easier if I disappeared quietly."
Her throat tightened.
Acheron looked at you, something painfully human flickering behind those abyss-black eyes.
"But the gods do not take kindly to those who throw away life."
Acheronâs claws curled at your sides, trembling.
"So they cursed me."
"They turned me into thisâa siren, a creature that lingers between life and death, never truly belonging to either."
Acheron exhaled shakily, the wind carrying her words like a dying prayer.
"And they gave me one way out."
The singerâs stomach twisted. ââŠWhat way?â
Acheron hesitated.
Thenâ Before you could even react Acherons lips met yours, Her lips were cold.
Not the kind of cold that came from the lakeâs embrace, nor the fleeting chill of night air. It was a deep, aching cold, like something that had long since forgotten warmth. Yet, beneath that frozen touch, there was something elseâsomething familiar. Something that made your heart lurch and your knees go weak.
Acheron.
Your Acheron.
The kiss was brief, almost hesitant, as if she wasnât sure she was allowed to do this. As if she expected you to push her away.
You didnât.
Instead, when she pulled back, your trembling hands found her face, cupping it gently, as if she might disappear again if you let go. Your fingers traced the sharp lines of her jaw, the curve of her cheek, the wet strands of violet hair clinging to her skin. Acheron leaned into the touch, her black eyes flickering with something raw, something desperate. But.. No. Her eyes.. They werent black anymore. They werent the blissful abyss anymore. Her eyes, once oh so soft, such a sweet shade of gentle violet were now Red. Bloodthirsty. Fucking Insane. Her soft gentle hands which were cupping your cheeks trail down to your neck, her thumbs putting pressure on the windpop.
Acheronâs touch was no longer gentle.
It was suffocating.
Her thumbs pressed against your windpipe, just enough to make breathing difficultâbut not enough to cut it off completely. A cruel in-between, as if she were testing the fragility of your life in her hands.
âAcheronââ Your voice came out hoarse, barely a whisper.
Her red eyes bore into yours, a feverish glow in the moonlight. They werenât the warm violet you had known. They werenât the eyes of the girl who once listened to your songs with a soft smile.
They were wrong.
Broken.
Desperate.
And yetâthere was something else beneath the madness. Something fractured.
You could see it.
Acheronâs lips trembled, parted slightly, as if she wanted to speak but couldnât. Her fingers twitched against your throat, her grip falteringâonly for her claws to dig in tighter the next second. "Die." Your eyes widened as tears start to water from your eyes, you choke on your sobs and try to remove Acheron's strong grip away from your neck. Suddenlyâ Acheron's claws pierce into your neck, Blood trickled down your skin, warm against the nightâs chill. A ragged gasp tore from your lips as pain flared, white-hot and searing, and yetâit wasnât the pain that made you tremble.
It was Acheronâs expression.
Her lips were parted, her breath shallow, but her eyesâthose red, frenzied eyesâwere shimmering with unshed tears. A war raged behind them, between the madness of her curse and the remnants of the girl you once knew.
The girl you loved.
The girl who had loved you.
Her grip faltered. Just for a second. Just long enough for you to move.
Your trembling hands shot up, not to fight backâbut to hold her.
Your fingers dug into the fabric of her tattered cloak, clinging to her as if you could pull her back from the abyss she was slipping into. A sob broke past your lips, raw and desperate.
âAcheron,â you choked out, your voice barely above a whisper.
She flinched.
Acheronâs claws were still pressed into your throat, but her body trembled against you. Her breath came in ragged gasps, her entire form shaking. You saw it thenâthe cracks in her fury, the hesitation in her touch, the way her lips trembled as if she were fighting against something unseen. You have a glimmer of hope as you open your mouth to let out a few words but that too die out slowly. "Im glad Acheron.. Atleast my heart isnt empty anymore.." You screech out in pain with Acheron's already blood stained claws dig deeper into your neck, This time impaling your neck completely. God. You could feel her sharp claws stabbing right through your windpipe and larynx. I hope im forgiven by you Acheron..Although i dont deserve your forgiveness. I love you.
The world was slipping away.
The pain was unbearableâsearing hot where her claws impaled your throat, the wetness of your own blood spilling down your skin. Your vision blurred at the edges, dark spots creeping in, your body growing weaker by the second. But through it all, through the agony, through the suffocating grasp of death, your eyes never left hers.
Acheron was still trembling.
Her breath came in ragged, uneven gasps, her lips parted as if she wanted to screamâbut no sound came. Tears welled in her crimson eyes, but the madness remained, tangled with something else.
Regret. Horror. Despair.
Her handsâonce the hands that held yours on warm afternoons, once the hands that traced constellations in the sky as she whispered about the futureâwere now stained with your blood.
And yet, you werenât afraid.
Your trembling fingers reached up, brushing against her cheek. Warm. Still warm. Still Acheron, no matter what the gods had done to her.
You tried to speak, tried to tell her that it was okay, that you forgave her, that you never blamed her in the first placeâbut all that came out was a strangled, gurgling sound, blood bubbling up from your throat. The world was tilting, your body growing heavy. The pain was numbing now. Distant.
Acheronâs eyes widened.
Her grip on your neck loosened.
She had realized.
The madness flickered, like a candle struggling against the wind. Her expression twisted into something you had never seen beforeâpure, unfiltered terror.
She let go.
You collapsed.
The ground was cold, damp beneath your body. The stars above were too bright, too cruel, watching silently as your life bled away. Your vision was fading, but you could still see herâAcheron kneeling beside you, her entire body shaking, her claws dripping with your blood.
âNo,â she whispered, her voice cracking. âNo, no, noââ
She reached out, hands hovering over your wound, but she hesitated. Her breath hitched as she saw the damage she had done.
She had done this.
Acheron had killed you.
And the realization broke her.
A scream tore from her lipsâa sound not of a siren, not of a monster, but of a girl who had lost everything. It was the same sound she had swallowed years ago, the same scream she had never let out before she had thrown herself into the lake.
And now, she was drowning all over again.
She cradled your face, her bloodstained fingers shaking as they traced the curve of your cheek, as if trying to memorize you before it was too late.
âNo, youâre notâ I didnâtââ Her voice cracked, her breath hitching. âYou canâtâ I just got you backâ Iââ
A sob tore from her throat.
And for the first time since she became a siren, Acheron wept.
Tears, hot and desperate, fell from her crimson eyes, mixing with the blood on your skin. She clung to you, her forehead pressing against yours, her body shaking as she whispered your name over and over, like a prayer, like a curse.
ââŠPlease,â she whispered.
Her claws curled into your clothing, desperate, broken, trembling.
ââŠDonât leave me.â
But you were already slipping away.
The stars above blurred into nothingness. The pain had faded now, distant and dreamlike.
And the last thing you heardâbefore everything faded to blackâ
Was her sobbing.
The moment your body went still, the world did too.
The wind stopped. The lake stilled. The starsâonce so cruelly brightâdimmed as if mourning.
And Acheronâ
Acheron screamed.
It was not the haunting song of a siren, not the deadly melody that lured sailors to their doom. Noâthis was raw. Human. A cry of agony that shattered the silence, that reached into the depths of the night and tore it apart.
Her hands, stained with your blood, trembled as she held you. Her claws retractedâno longer a sirenâs, but human once more. Her breath hitched, her vision blurred with tears, her entire body wracked with violent sobs.
And thenâ
It happened.
Acheronâs body jerked as a searing pain erupted from within. A force unlike anything she had ever knownâhot, suffocating, like she was being burned alive from the inside out.
The violet scales that had cursed her existence peeled away. The black abyss of her eyes cracked, shattering into shards of red. Her clawsâher fangsâher voiceâ
The curse was breaking.
The gods had bound her to this existence, tethered her between life and death, punishing her for the choice she had made. They had taken everythingâher name, her humanity, her future.
But they had left her with one thing.
One cruel, wretched condition.
The curse will break when you kill the one you love the most.
And now, she had.
The waters of the lake, once her prison, recoiled from her, rejecting her presence. Her bodyâno longer a sirenâsâconvulsed, flesh burning as the remnants of her punishment peeled away.
The mask she had wornâthe monstrous form forced upon herâwas gone.
Acheron was human again.
But what did it matter?
What did it fucking matter if you were gone?
She gasped, barely able to move, barely able to breathe as she clutched your lifeless body against her chest. Her handsâhuman hands nowâcupped your face, shaking violently.
âNo, no, no,â she whimpered, her voice hoarse from screaming. âCome backâpleaseââ
Her forehead pressed against yours, desperate, broken. She could feel the warmth leaving your skin, could feel the final remnants of life slipping away.
Acheron had spent years longing to be human again.
But not like this.
Never like this.
Her fingers curled around your shoulders, shaking you, pleading, sobbing.
âIâm sorryââ Her voice cracked. âI didnât mean itâ I wasnâtââ
She had wanted to be free. She had wanted to feel warmth again, to walk on land, to be herself.
But if being free meant losing youâ
Then she didnât fucking want it.
Acheronâs head snapped up, wild and frantic.
Her body felt wrong. The lake no longer whispered to her, the water no longer called. Her voiceâonce a sirenâs songâwas silent. The claws she had once cursed were gone. The scales she had despised had melted away.
But she didnât care.
All she cared about was you.
Acheron swallowed back the sobs racking her chest, her hands tightening around your lifeless form.
If the gods had cursed her onceâthey could do it again.
Her lips trembled as she held you closer. The lake was still, eerily silent. The stars above no longer shined as brightly.
Acheron took a shaking breath.
And thenâ
She prayed.
Not to the gods who had damned her. Not to the stars who had ignored her suffering.
She prayed to you.
ââŠTake it back.â
Her voice was barely a whisper.
ââŠTake it all back.â
She clutched you against her chest, rocking slightly, her breath uneven.
âI donât want to be free,â she choked out. âI donât care about being humanâI donât care about any of itââ
Her fingers tightened.
"Just give them back to me.
