Mario and Luigi were hanging out at their house, watching halloween movies. Though they were watching movies and eating lots of candy, they were also ready with the remote to pause the movie whenever trick or treaters knocked on the door. When multiple toads were trick or treating, Mario and Luigi would keep the movie paused and just chat about the movie until the collection of dressed-up toads would lessen. Then, when the crowd of toads were all candied up, Mario and Luigi would start up the movie again. 

They were now three quarters through The Nightmare Before Christmas, when a few toads knocked on the door. Mario paused the movie while Luigi hopped off the couch, and they both headed to the door to open it. “Trick or treat!” All the toads said in unison. 

“Awww! I love your costumes!” Mario reacted. 

“I’m a fire flower!” One of the toads reacts, dressed with a green body, leaf sleeves and a fire flower floppy hood. 

“Wow! I love it!” Mario reacted, handing the toad a big chocolate bar. 

“I’m a fox!” Another toad declared, dressed up as a big red fox. 

“Very-a nice!” Luigi reacted, giving the fox toad a candy bar as well. 

“And I’m a cat! Meow!” The third toad cheered, showing off his cat powerup. 

“Very creative!” Mario reacted, giving him a chocolate bar as well. 

“Look, look Luigi! I’m a chocolate bar!” The last toad declared, showing off its chocolate bar costume with a bright blue wrapper. 

“Ooooh, my-a favorite!” Mario reacted, giving the last toad a chocolate bar as well. 

The toads all thanked the twins, and left the house happy and content with their candy bags. 

Mario and Luigi closed the door, happy with themselves. “I loved the fire flower costume.” Luigi admitted. 

Mario laughed. “I liked that one too. The cat costume though…” Mario made a face and made an ‘iffy’ gesture with his hand. “It could use some work. We came across about 45 toads dressed as cats last year.” Mario admitted. 

“Yeah…but maybe they didn’t have time to make a costume.” Luigi suggested. 

“Yeah…Maybe you’re right.” Mario responded. 

Luigi chuckled and shrugged his shoulders. “But who knows.” He responded. “Wanna see Oogie Boogie get ripped to shreds?” Luigi asked. 

Mario shuddered and bit his lip. “Not really…but do I have a choice?” Mario asked his brother. 

Luigi smirked and unpaused the movie with the remote. “Nope.” 

Mario rolled his eyes as he checked the window. “Fine…” 

When the coast was clear, Luigi and Mario sat onto the couch again and watched the rest of the movie. Sure enough, Oogie Boogie got ripped to shreds, and the movie ended on a relatively happy note. 

With that movie done, Mario took out the DVD and looked to Luigi. “What movie should we put on now?” He asked. 

Luigi thought for a moment. “What about Monster House?” Luigi asked. 

Mario widened his eyes. “Uhhhhh…” He looked down, visibly nervous. “I…don’t really like that one.” 

Luigi frowned slightly. “Why not?” He asked. 

“Cause the animation gives me the creeps.” Mario admitted. “And the house?! Nuh uh!” Mario reacted, visibly uncomfortable. 

“What’s wrong? Can’t handle a house haunted by the ghost of an old man’s chunky freakshow lover?” Luigi joked. 

“Shut up!” Mario yelled back. “You know exactly why I don’t like it. It’s the house itself. It looks too raggedy and gross…” Mario muttered aloud. 

“Isn’t that the point-” 

*Knock knock knock* 

Luigi paused his words and looked at the door. “More trick-or-treaters. Coming Mario?” 

Mario sighed and nodded his head. “Yeah, I’m-a coming.” He responded, walking to the door with Luigi. 

As soon as they opened the door, about 5 toads yelled “Trick or treat!” to them. 

“Wow! So many toads!” Mario reacted, switching to his surprised face. 

“I’m a bee! Buzz buzz!” One of the toads declared, wearing a bee power up. 

“Can you make yourself fly?” Mario asked the toad. 

“Yup!” The toad jumped up, and made the wings flap super fast, so it could fly. “Woo hoo!” Toad cheered. 

“Awesome! Here’s your chocolate bar!” Mario celebrated, giving the toad a bar. 

“I’m you, Super Mario!” The second toad declared, dressing in a red shirt and blue overalls, with a yellow blanket as the superhero cape. 

Luigi chuckled, appreciating the fun little costume. “Awww, now there’s two Mario’s here!” Luigi reacted, poking Mario’s side. 

“Lu!” Mario reacted, slapping his hand. “Stop it!” 

“What?” Luigi poked him a couple more times. “Can’t handle a few pokes?” Luigi asked with a smirk. 

Mario held his breath, trying to not react too much to his pokes. But the more he poked, the more Mario kept instinctively jumping and yelping. 

“What’s happening?” A third toad asked, dressed as a gold coin. 

“He’s ticklish!” The 4th toad replied, dressed as a goomba. 

“Ticklish!?” The 5th toad reacted, dressed as a penguin. 

“Yup, Mario is very ticklish!” Luigi reacted, poking his belly and side a few more times. 

These pokes earned him some more squeaks, jumps, and the occasional giggle. “L-Luhuhu! StahAP IHIT!” Mario yelled, trying to poke him back. But Luigi caught one of his hands, held it up and started poking even more against his armpit. “Oh yeah, Mario’s very ticklish! His armpits drive him CRAZY!” Luigi declared, before switching to fluttering his fingers against his armpit. 

Mario squeaked and closed one eye, laughing and giggling. He shook his head, squeaking and tugging on his arm. “Luhuhuhu STAHAHAHAP! HAHAhahaha Nohot fahahair!” Mario reacted. 

“He’s so ticklish!” The toad dressed as Mario had reacted. 

“He really is! It’s his only weakness besides his height.” Luigi admitted, playfully jabbing at both his belly, as well as his dignity. 

Mario threw his head back and squealed, laughing almost manically. “Mama Mihihiaaa! Plehehehehease! Hahahahaha!” Mario covered his mouth in an attempt to get his giggles under control. But evident by the continuous giggles leaving his mouth, it clearly wasn’t working. 

By now, some of the toads were giggling, while other toads were calling more toads to come see Mario get tickled. It was quite funny seeing the toads so eager to see Mario so giggly. 

“He’s so funny!” One of the toads reacted, giggling as well in his turtle costume.

“Are you sure this is his only weakness?” A toadette asked, dressed as Princess Peach. 

Luigi chuckled. “Oh, this isn’t Mario’s only weakness…” Luigi warned. 

“Luigihihihi, dohohon’t you dahahahahare!” Mario warned. 

“But for the sake of Mario’s dignity, I’m gonna keep that a secret.” Luigi said next to the toads. 

The toads let out a collective “Awwww…” in response, but quickly went back to laughing once Luigi tickled Mario’s armpits again.

“LUHUHUHUHU! STAHAHAP IHIHIT!” Mario yelled, reaching out and trying to poke Luigi back. 

“WaAH-” Luigi caught his other hand, and smirked. “Sorry, Mario~” Luigi declared. “You’re not turning the tables THAT easily~” He warned. 

“Meheherda! Cohohome ohohohohon!” Mario whined through his laughter. 

Luigi poked and prodded a few different spots, keeping Mario on his jumpy little toes. “Boop! Boop-boop, boop, boop-boop-boop!” Luigi teased in a baby voice. 

“Ihihi swehehehear to gohohohod!” Mario yelled before falling onto his back. “Ihihi’m gonna kihihihill yohohou!” Mario shot at him. 

Luigi knelt down and let go of his hand, before tickling both sides of his belly. “Let’s save that for later…Okay, brother?” Luigi teased, looking at the toads as he tickled him. 

The toads all giggled and covered their mouths, clearly loving the entertainment Luigi was providing them. The number of toads had now gone up to 15, with 11 toads and 4 toadette’s watching Mario get tickled to bits in front of them.

Right as Mario felt like he was gonna lose it, Luigi slowly stopped tickling. He couldn’t help but sneak a few little extra pokes, but he certainly lessened the tickles dramatically. The tickles weren’t nearly as bad as before. They mainly just left Mario jumpy and giggly. 

“Alright, I think that’s enough for the poor man.” Luigi told them. Despite the fact that Mario seemed to be exhausted, the toads all let out a whiney “Awwwww” sound all over again. But upon seeing Mario breathing heavily, they all gathered around Mario and offered him their candy to help him get better. One toad offered the chocolate bar Luigi had just given him, while another child offered up a bag of sour candies. A toadette offered him a juice box, which Mario did end up graciously taking. Mario drank it down slowly, appreciating the liquid that coated his previously-dry throat. The toadette looked at Mario, visibly concerned. “Are you okay?” The toadette asked him. 

“Y-Yeah…I’m okay.” Mario responded. 

“Is there anything else we can do?” Another toad asked. 

Mario lifted his head up slightly. “Actually…” He raised his pointer finger up. “You can tickle Luigi if you want. Get his armpits and hips.” Mario spoke up. 

Luigi gasped. “WhAT?! Mario!” Luigi yelled. 

“And ACTION!” 

The King penguin pointed to Bowser and the army. “ATTACK!” A little smirk filled his beak as the army of penguins charged at Bowser’s army. Each penguin made snowballs and threw them at Bowser, hoping to take him down. 

But the camera zoomed out, revealing Bowser’s size and the snowballs’ damage (or lack of) to the large turtle. 

Suddenly, someone from the background bursted out laughing! The penguins stopped their attack and turned to the camera, while Bowser looked to the camera and bursted out in bellow-y laughter. 

The king penguin’s serious acting broke into laughter of his own, as he rubbed his beak with his flipper. “Lakitu!” The king penguin reacted, looking at the camera and chuckling. 

“Sorry!” Lakitu replied. “I couldn’t help it!” He admitted.  

“Let’s try again.” Someone else said. 

[NO SIGNAL BEEP] 

“Good luck running a business with this IDIOT-” Spike threw the napkin at Luigi. 

Mario reached his arm to catch it, but ended up missing it. The napkin bapped Luigi in the forehead, making Luigi freeze and widen his eyes in shock. 

“Dang it, I missed.” Mario said, laughing a bit. 

“Let’s go again.” 

[ATTEMPT 2] 

“Good luck running a business with this IDIOT-” Spike threw the napkin at Luigi. 

Mario reached his arm out to catch it, and ended up punching the napkin straight out of frame. 

Luigi doubled over and bursted out laughing. “KAY! OH!” Luigi shouted. 

Mario laughed a bit as well. “That’s one way to save you.” He reacted, gently punching his brother’s shoulder. 

“Let’s go one more time.” 

[ATTEMPT 3] 

“Good luck running a business with this IDIOT-” Spike threw the napkin at Luigi. 

Mario caught it this time, and squeezed it. “Say that again about my brother, and you’re gonna regret it.” He warned, throwing it back at Spike. 

Spike widened his eyes as the napkin hit him in the head, before looking at Mario. “Oh yeah?” He reacted, getting up from his chair, and revealing his massive height compared to Mario’s size. He tried to pick up Mario, but accidentally ripped the denim strap right off his overalls! 

“...Whoops!” Spike reacted, before awkwardly giving the strap back to Mario. 

Mario chuckled as he held up the ripped strap. “Can I get a wardrobe change, please?” He asked. 

“On it!” 

[NO SIGNAL BEEP] 

The camera was turned on early, to reveal the crew putting together the Mario family dining room set. 

Luigi looked like he was trying to prevent himself from drooling. “Come on, Lindsey. Just one piece?” Luigi asked, reaching for the bowl of garden salad. 

Lindsey slapped Luigi’s hand away. “Nope. No touching.” She replied as she placed the salad on the table. 

Luigi flapped his hand to take away the slight pain. “Ow…” He muttered. 

“You too, Mario.” Lindsey said while walking away. 

Luigi turned to look at Mario, and threw his head back with a wheeze. 

The camera zoomed in, to reveal Mario with his mouth full of mushrooms along with a shocked look on his face. “Whath?!” Mario asked through his mouthful of mushrooms, visibly confused. His attempt to speak would make a mushroom fall out of his mouth and onto the plate, making laughter erupt from the rest of the crew. 

Papa Mario is seen rolling his eyes with a chuckle. “I thought you weren’t supposed to like mushrooms?” He mentioned. 

Mario swallowed. “Can’t relate. Mushrooms are delicious.” He replied. 

[NO SIGNAL BEEP] 

Mario gazed at the huge mushrooms that filled the area. He looked down at one of the shorter mushrooms with innocent curiosity, before looking over at one of the blue mushrooms. He reached out to grab it. 

“OOGA BOOGA-” Kamek suddenly appeared from behind the mushroom. 

Mario let out an ungodly shriek and fell to the ground. “HOLY MAMA-” He reacted. 

Everyone else bursted out laughing, while Mario rubbed the back of his head and chuckled himself. 

[ATTEMPT 2] 

Mario gazed at the huge mushrooms that filled the area. He looked down at one of the shorter mushrooms with innocent curiosity, before looking over at one of the blue mushrooms. He reached out to grab it. 

“DO NOT TOUCH THAT MUSHROOM-” 

“aAAH!” Mario fumbled backwards…only for someone to grab his sides! 

“BOO!” That person shouted at him.

Mario shrieked and hugged himself. “LUIGI!” Mario shouted, before falling onto the ground nearby. 

Luigi snickered playfully. “We gotcha good!” He teased, before walking up to Toad. “High five!” Luigi raised his hand up to Toad.  

“High-five!” Toad declared, high-fiving him back. 

“Let’s focus please, boys. We’re almost done.” 

[NO SIGNAL BEEP]

Mario sprinted up to Peach, reaching his arm out. Peach reached out with her hand as well, providing her a potential chance to help the newcomer.

…Only for Peach to throw Mario over her head and onto the ground. 

Mario grunted in slight pain, before getting up and grabbing his hat. “Princess! I-” 

Mario yelped as he was tackled by a blue security guard toad, followed by a green security guard toad, and a yellow security guard toad. Mario was supposed to let out screams of pain…but the cast heard something completely different. 

“waHAIT! BAHAhaha! N-Noho fahahair! HAHAHA!” 

Peach’s face turned to shock, before trying not to laugh at the circumstance herself. “Wehell…that’s one way to take down an intruder…” She mentioned. 

A few of the other cast members could be heard laughing as they watched from behind the camera.

“CUT!” 

[NO SIGNAL BEEP]

“What is your name?” Bowser asked, spinning Luigi as he floated in Kamek’s power. 

“Uh…Luigi.” He replied nervously, trying to see Bowser as he spun. 

Bowser looked at him as Luigi’s spinning slowed to look at him. “Not sure if you know who I am, But I’m about to marry a princess and rule the world.” He said, before sheathing his claws. 

“Wow uh…” Luigi felt as his chin was lifted with Bowser’s claw. “Hehe…” He awkwardly chuckled. “Yaaay…” He said next. 

“But there’s one problem, Luigi.” Bowser dragged his finger up and off Luigi’s chin. 

Luigi yelped and threw his head to the side. “aAHa!” Luigi muttered. 

Bowser stopped acting and stared at him. “What?” He asked, confused. 

“Sssorry…” Luigi admitted. 

“What happened?” Peach could be heard behind the camera. 

“I don’t know. He just sorta…squeaked.” 

“Alright. Let’s go for take 2.” 

[TAKE 2] 

Bowser looked at him as Luigi’s spinning slowed to look at him. “Not sure if you know who I am, But I’m about to marry a princess and rule the world.” He said, before sheathing his claws. 

“Wow uh…” Luigi curled his neck in, snorting as he anticipated the chin touch. “Sohorry, this is really embarrassing.” He muttered. 

Bowser chuckled. “You’re sensitive too, huh?” He asked, lifting Luigi’s chin and scratching under it a slight bit more. 

Luigi squeaked and let out almost a girly giggle as he tried to hide his chin. “NoO!” He reacted. “Ohokay, maybe a little.” He admitted next. 

“Another take?” Bowser asked, looking behind the camera. 

“Let’s go again.” 

[TAKE 3] 

Bowser looked at him as Luigi’s spinning slowed to look at him. “Not sure if you know who I am, But I’m about to marry a princess and rule the world.” He said, before sheathing his claws. 

“Wow uh…” Luigi jumped as the claw touched down on his chin. “eeEEhe!” Luigi squeaked. 

Bowser paused for a moment, before attempting to continue. “But there’s one problem, Luigi.” Bowser dragged his finger up and off Luigi’s chin. 

Luigi snorted right away. “Ohmygod-This is so hard!” He reacted, visibly embarrassed. 

Bowser rolled his eyes and laughed a bit before looking off camera. “Is he always this sensitive?” Bowser asked. 

“His neck is his biggest weakness.” You could somewhat hear Mario say behind the camera. 

“But I’m not even touching his neck.” Bowser poked his chin again. “I’m up near his chin.” He explained.

Luigi kept squeaking and giggling. 

“Chin is included.” Mario said. 

Bowser sighed with a chuckle. “How about…Instead of dragging my finger up like this…” Bowser did exactly what he said, making giggles and a snort erupt from Luigi’s mouth. “I’ll just remove it from below.” He suggested. 

“Sohohounds goohood.” Luigi replied. 

“Okay. We have it figured out now?” 

“Yup, I think so.” Bowser replied. 

“Alright. Take 3.” 

[NO SIGNAL BEEP]

“We’re best friends.” The toad told Peach. 

“But are we?” Mario asked, lifting his hands up as he raised his shoulders. 

Toad lifted his finger up, quieting him. “Don’t worry.” He turned to look at Peach. “I…will…protect you.” He said in a lower voice than usual. 

Peach knelt down to his level. “A toad brave enough to join me.” She said with a proud smile. 

“I fear nothing.” He declared. 

“Pfff-Pfft-” 

Toad and Peach both turned their heads towards the tittering noise. Peach looked surprised, while Toad still had his brave facial expression on his face. 

It was Mario, who was out of the camera’s view. He had his fist on his mouth, slightly red in the face as he tried not to laugh. Mario took in a big breath and let it out. “Sorry, sorry. It’s just-” Mario giggled. 

Toad narrowed his beady eyes slightly and smirked. “I’m Batman.” He said before laughing. 

Mario bursted out laughing at that line. “Yeah, that! You sound like Batman!” Mario admitted. 

“I like the voice. If Mario can keep it together, we’ll use it.” 

Toad fistbumped the air, going back to his cute side. “Yay!” 

[NO SIGNAL BEEP]

Mario pulled up in his little kart at the starting line. Peach pulled up in her motorcycle right beside him, looking at Mario with a smirk. But then, a set of large wheels rolled up beside Mario, making Mario and Peach look up in shock. 

It was little old Toad, in a gigantic monster truck, and glasses to complete the look! 

Peach was the first one to break. “PFFTAAAHAHAHAHA-!” Peach slapped her motorcycle handle as she laughed rather loudly. 

Mario bursted out in laughter next. “Ihihi dihidn’t know he was gonna come out like that!” He admitted, leaning back with more laughter.

The rest of the crew both on, and off screen could be heard laughing as well. Peach was letting out fits of giggles by this point. “Meehee neither!” Peach admitted. 

“Ahalight. Do we have our giggles out now?” The director asked. 

Mario put his index finger up as he pulled himself together. “Yeah, I think.” He replied. “Another take, I assume?” 

“One more take, then we’ll compare shots.” 

[NO SIGNAL BEEP]

Peach and Mario were leading the Jungle kingdom members on the rainbow road. “Is there anything like this in your world?” Peach asked. 

“WHAT?!” Mario yelled back. 

Peach brought her motorcycle closer. “IS THERE ANYTHING LIKE THIS IN YOUR WORLD?!” Peach yelled, leaning her motorcycle closer to Mario so he could hear her words. 

Mario laughed. “No! We don’t drive on rainbows.” Mario admitted. 

“What are you gonna tell me next?! That the turtles aren’t evil?!” Peach asked next. 

“No, no! They’re usually pets!” Mario admitted. 

Peach was taken aback by this. “No WAY!” She reacted. 

“Yeah, come to Brooklyn! I’ll buy you a turtle!” Mario told her. 

Peach giggled. “Maybe I will~!” Peach said. 

Donkey Kong honked his horn and drove up beside Peach. “FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, JUST KISS!” Donkey Kong yelled. 

Mario widened his eyes and visibly blushed. 

Meanwhile, Peach just laughed. “That’s not your line!” She yelled at him. 

“It’s NOT?!” Donkey Kong asked. 

“NO! YOU SAY SOMETHING ABOUT FLIRTING!” Peach yelled to him. 

“OH YEAH! I FORGOT!” He admitted. “SORRY!” He yelled. “AGAIN?” 

“LET’S TRY AGAIN!” 

[NO SIGNAL BEEP]

Peach was driving upside down when 2 Koopa turtles came up to her from behind. Noticing the koopas, Peach frowned at the one on the right, before kicking that same Koopa turtle in the face. 

She drifted her motorcycle back and hit the left Koopa turtle straight off the track. The left Koopa’s kart rolled backwards, causing a missile to launch. 

Though the missile was supposed to pass right beside Peach, the missile ended up hitting Peach! “aAAAAH!” Peach shouted, as the missile dragged her off the rainbow track and into the dark abyss below! 

Mario turned his head towards the screaming princess from another track. “PRINCESS!” Mario shouted, reaching his arm out. He lowered his arm and looked at the camera as Peach disappeared. “Uh…I guess I’m marrying the king now?” He joked with a chuckle. 

This made Lakitu, along with some of the Jungle Kingdom army, burst out laughing on and off camera. Luigi’s laughter could most instinctively be heard from behind the camera.

[NO SIGNAL BEEP]

Luigi walked up to Mario with two cups of coffee. He handed Mario his red cup with the letter M on it, before clinking the mugs together. Luigi placed his left hand under his cup, and carefully took a sip of the coffee. 

Mario took a sip of his coffee as well, before making a face of disgust. “Eugh…What the-” Mario looked down at the coffee before looking at Luigi. 

Luigi was laughing a bit. “Is it that bad?!” He asked. 

“Dude…” Mario widened his eyes and opened his mouth, before breathing somewhat heavily. “Lu-?! What’d you put in it?!” Mario yelled, huffing with worry and pain as he fanned his mouth with his hand before sprinting off frame with his cup of ‘coffee’. 

Luigi burst out laughing and put his own coffee on a nearby table so he could laugh harder. “Nohothing!” Luigi replied. 

“LIAR!” Mario shouted from off camera. 

Luigi smirked as he pulled something out of his overalls. “Whaaat? I didn’t put aaanything in your coffee!” He said sarcastically, showing the crew the bottle of ghost pepper hot sauce he had in his hand. 

Mario must’ve seen the hot sauce in his hand…because in no time at all, Mario had run back into frame. “LUIGI!” He shouted, tackling Luigi to the ground and taking the hot sauce out of his hand. “Gimme this!” He took the lid off it and shoved it into his brother’s mouth before squeezing the bottle, putting about 2 tablespoons of hot sauce into his brother’s mouth. “Your turn, Gigetto.” Mario said with an evil smirk on his face. 

Luigi’s eyes widened as the hot sauce filled his mouth. He yelped and swallowed instinctively. “Mario-” He reacted, before shrieking and huffing himself as the hot sauce took over his mouth. “MARIO-!” Luigi shouted, sprinting off-screen. “HOT-HOT-HOT-HOT!” He shouted all the way off the set. 

Lakitu turned the camera, to reveal the set piece behind their ‘bedroom’. Luigi was grabbing the closest carton from inside the fridge, and gulping it right out of the carton. 

“Luigi, that’s cream!” Papa Mario said.

Luigi ignored him, taking a few more gulps before lowering the carton. “Close enough.” He replied, huffing. 

Everyone else was laughing while Papa Mario was rubbing the top of his nose. “Sorry director. They’ve had a long day.” Papa Mario admitted. 

“It’s fine. One more take should be good. CUT!” 

Mario was walking around a grassy area. He happened to be in a mushroom village, where there were many mushroom houses with mushroom families. Mushrooms, mushrooms, more mushrooms, you get the point. 

“Mario!” A red toad child yelled from the window, waving at him. 

“Mario?” A blue toad child asked, sticking its own head out the window. 

“It’s Mario!” A yellow toad child reacted. “Hi Mario!” 

“Hello!” Mario replied, waving back. 

“Mario!!” a pink toadette declared. “Sis, Mario’s outside!” She reacted, opening the door with a slightly shorter toadette running out with her. 

“Mario!” A blue toad kid reacted, running with a fellow green toad child. 

“Thuper Mario!” a pink toad child with glasses declared, grabbing his toadette twin sister and running out of the house. 

“Mario!!” A yellow toad yelled, running out the front door. 

“Upa Maro!” a yellow toad the size of a toddler, started tottling over, following his brother to get to Mario as best he can. 

“Ah ah ah, you’re too young.” the yellow toad Dad told his toddler, in the most normal voice possible. 

“Itsa okay. I would love to say hi.” Mario told the toad Dad, kneeling over to see the toddler. 

“Okay. Wanna see Mr. Mario?” the toad Dad asked. 

“Maro! Marowowo!” the toddler tried to say, reaching its tiny arms out to Mario. 

“Awww, hello baby.” Mario reacted, gently taking the toddler in his arms. Mario started gently holding the toddler, and pacing around with the toddler in his arms while he talked to the other toad kids. 

“Maro moooth-” the toddler grabbed Mario’s mustache with his strong grippy hand. 

“AH- Y-Yes, that’s my mustache.” Mario muttered with slight nervousness. He knew quite well that kids love to grip and pull things. So he slightly feared that the kid may just try to pull his entire mustache out from his face. That would be a sight to behold in and of itself…And Luigi would probably fall over laughing if it happens. 

“Toaden, let go.” the toddler’s brother told him, holding out a stick for him to grab. The toad toddler’s eyes widened as he let go of Mario’s mustache, grabbed the stick instead, and started waving it in the air, trying to make it shake. It’s a wonder Mario’s head didn’t get bonked in the process. 

He started to let out huffs of relief. “Hooo…hooo…thank you.” Mario replied. “My mustache is safe.” Mario added, spinning the tip of his mustache with his fingers. 

A little toadette walked up to Mario. “Can you draw a mustache on my face?” a toadette asked, holding up a black pen. 

Mario couldn’t help the little chuckle that left his mouth. “Sure!” Mario replied, lowering himself down slightly before drawing and filling in the equivalent of a ‘Mario mustache’ on her little face. 

The toadette pulled out a mirror from her cap, and squealed excitedly, running around to show everyone the new mustache she had. She soon went home to show her toad parents the mustache on her face. Mario chuckled and looked over at the toddler in his arms. “Do you want a mustache too?” Mario asked, holding the pen up. 

“Moooooosh!” The toddler dropped the stick onto the ground and started poking and dragging her fingers all over Mario’s neck and chin. 

Mario widened his eyes and chuckled. “Eehehe! Nohow now…” Mario grabbed his left arm. “Nohoho tickles.” Mario warned with a smile. 

The toddler widened his eyes, stared at Mario for a few seconds, before smiling brightly. “ickl! ickl!” The toddler declared before reaching his hands out and wiggling his mitten-like fingers. 

“Oh- Oh no, you shouldn’t have said that word, Mario.” Toaden’s Dad teased.  

“Why not- EEK!” Mario yelped as the warm, skittery toddler fingers started tickling the left side of Mario’s neck. “Ehehahaha!” Mario laughed. “thahahat tihickles.” Mario admitted, before reaching his finger out so the toddler could grab it. 

But the toddler only pushed the finger away and resumed tickling his little fingers. “No ‘ingerrr! ickl ickl!” the little tot declared. 

The Dad chuckled. “Alright, Toaden. That’s enough. Time to go.” The Dad told him, picking up the toddler from Mario’s arms. 

Toaden started whining and crying, not wanting to be taken away yet. “NOoo! Maroooo!” The toddler whined. 

“Sorry about that, Mario.” The Dad told him. 

Mario chuckled. “It’s fine. It was funny.” Mario admitted. 

Mario peeked at the other kids, before doing a double take. He quickly looked over at all the other kids with surprise: About 15-20 toad children were staring at Mario with wonder and…almost excitement. 

“Wha….What?” Mario asked. 

“Mario’s ticklish?!” A blue toad child finally declared. 

Mario widened his eyes at this. Uh oh…

“Super Mario’s ticklish!”  A green toad child reacted. 

“Super Mario? More like Super Ticklish.” a purple toad teased. 

This specific comment made Mario blush slightly. And where did the purple toad even come from?!

“Mario’s thicklith?” The pink toad child with the glasses asked next. 

“Looks like he is.” the nerdy toad’s twin sister replied. 

“That’s so cute!” A Toadette reacted. 

Where else are you ticklish, sir?” Another green toad asked. 

“YEAH, WHERE ELSE?!” All the toads asked at pretty much the same time. 

“...Ummm…” Mario mumbled. 

“Are your feet ticklish?” the yellow toad asked, pointing to his shoes. 

“What about your armpits?” A green toadette asked, poking his arm. 

“Or your belly!” A red toad asked, poking his belly. 

“WAH!” Mario reacted, moving back. “Now w-wait-” 

“Or his hips?” A black toadette asked, poking his right hip. 

“GAHA! Toadies-” Mario reacted, holding his side and moving back. 

“Excuse me!” A little voice said, running and pushing on Mario’s leg. 

“EEP!” Mario yelped, lifting his leg up and out of the way. The kid quickly ran past Mario’s leg with a big grin on his face. But Mario could quickly feel his balance failing him. “WhoOoOa-” 

“Careful, you’re gonna make him-” One of the yellow toads said. 

“WAAAH!” Mario shouted before letting out a big “OOF!” sound. Mario had fallen over onto the dirty ground, causing a big puff of sandy smoke to fill the air. He lifted his head up and yelped as the kids started to ambush him from every way. 

“Aaaand that’s where I take my leave.” Toaden’s Dad declared before walking away. 

“WaiT- WHAT?!” Mario reacted as the kids swarmed him. 

“Have fuuuuun~!” The fatherly toad said with an innocent smile, carrying his toddler back to the house. 

“Baaaaiii Maro!” The toddler yelled, waving to him. 

“WAIT! DON’T LEAVE ME ALL ALONE!” Mario pleaded, reaching his arm out to try and grab the toddler’s father. But obviously, he could not grab him. If anything, reaching out only allowed for a blue toad to grab his elbow and pull it back. With another blue toad doing the same thing with his other arm, a yellow toad child walked up to the right armpit and started to tickle it. “Tickle tickle!” 

“EEEK! Let me go! Lehehet mehehehe gohohohohaha!” Mario tried to tell them before already succumbing to his own laughter. 

“Toada! Get his belly!” A toadette kid told a green toad child nearby. “On it!” The green toad child somewhat climbed onto Mario’s belly, before he started skittering his mitten-like hands all over the man’s slightly chubby belly. 

“HAHAHAhahaha!” Mario laughed, squeezing his trapped right hand into a fist. “Wahahahait dohohon’t!” Mario reacted. 

A little pink toad had managed to climb itself onto Mario’s shoe, holding onto the top of the shoe like a little monkey. Mario opened his left eye just a touch to see this, which worried him slightly. “Gehehet ohohoff my fohohoot!” Mario tried to tell him. But that man was just too giggly to be taken seriously. 

“No way, Mario! This is fun!” The pink toad reacted as the foot moved up and down somewhat slowly while he was on it. 

“Do you have ticklish feet, Mario?” A red toad asked him, holding onto the toe of his shoe. 

“Ihihihi-” Mario opened his left eye a bit more and looked over at the green toad. 

The green toad moved its hands more towards the right side of his belly next. “Kitchy kitchy kitchy koo, Mario!” The green toad declared. 

“No, per favore! HAHAHAHA!” Mario laughed, closing his eyes and loosening his fists as he laughed wholeheartedly. 

The brother of that yellow toad toddler from earlier, was now holding his brother’s stick in his hand. He held it up in the air, yelling the words “Victory is ours!” with pride on his face. 

“Whath?! Buth you haventh even toushed every thpot!” The pink toad with the glasses declared. 

The black and white-spotted toad looked at the nerdy one with confusion. “Huh?” 

You thould go for the ribcage.” The nerdy pink toad declared with a smile. “Printhessth Peach hath thold me that humanth have these ribcageth.” The toad added. 

The black and white-spotted toad rolled his eyes. “No one cares, pink nerd.” the toad yelled at him. 

“Now wait…” The nerdy toad’s sister mentioned. “I think he has a point.” 

“Oh yeah? And what’s that?” The black toad asked with a taunting expression. 

All the toads stopped tickling him for just this moment, so they could all properly hear her. “He learned that Princess Peach has a ribcage because she’s a human.” She said, “According to her, Humans always have ribcages.” Toadette added. “So?” The black toad asked. 

“So if Peach is a human…and Mario is a human too…” The toadette explained out loud. “Does that mean Mario has a ribcage too?” Toadette asked. 

Hearing this made Mario’s eyes widen. 

Oh no…

“And what was it you found out about the Princess’s ribcage?” The toadette asked, looking towards her nerdy brother. 

The toads all looked over at the nerdy toad this time for once. Mario widened his eyes and looked at the toad as well. He’d better not blurt it out. If he does, then Mario’s in BIG trouble. “That…” The nerd looked at Mario, noticing Mario’s unusually fearful face…And for some reason…this fearful face only brought the toad more confidence. The toad looked at the others with a proud smile before adjusting his glasses. “Peach’th ribcage was very ticklith.” The toad declared. 

Mario could feel the butterflies just dancing in his belly. “Oh boy…” Mario mumbled. The nerd couldn’t help a proud laugh. “And Mario, can you thell me whath a ribcage iiiith?” The nerdy toad asked with a smirk. 

Mario widened his eyes, before looking at all the toad kids that had all flipped around to hear Mario talk. He slowly bit his lip. “Ehm…Ahem…” Mario awkwardly smiled and let out a nervous chuckle. He wanted to say something to just let the embarrassment end…but nothing was leaving his mouth. 

The toad sighed. “If you don’t anthwer, then I will.” The nerd said. “Ith a curvy cage thath protects the organths. They feel like curvy rodths with dippths in bethween.” the nerd told him. 

“And you know exactly where these ribs are.” Toadette said with a smirk. 

“Precithly!” the nerd declared. “Please no-” Mario said. 

“They’re locathed from the thides up to the armpiths.” The nerd told them, drawing a line up his own side to the underarm. “I remember counthing the ribth mythelf!” The toad added. 

“Uh oh-” Mario muttered. 

“And the higher I wenth up-” the nerd just kept on going with a growing smirk on his petty little face. 

“Toadie, please no!” Mario begged. 

But the little kid just beamed even brighter! “The more laughter she leth outh!” the toad declared loudly. 

All the toads gasped, widened their eyes and smiled brightly. Almost immediately, all the toads jumped on top of him, basically ambushing him. “TICKLE ATTACK!” All the children declared in unison. 

A few of the kids began feeling Mario’s sides and belly for something hard…Something curvy…something cagey with dips between. Mario immediately tried to protest. “WAHAIT! He’s lying! Hehehe wahas lihieihihing!” Mario tried to tell them while he attempted to push them away. And no matter how much Mario tried to get them away, he just couldn’t stop every toad kid at once. They were all going for the kill. And most of the kids managed to reach it. About 8 toad kids started pushing and feeling for the lower ribs, 4 on each side. 

“Oh! I can feel them!” a toad declared from the right side. 

“Oh nohohohahaha!” Mario laughed. 

“They’re curvy!” A toad reacted from the left side. 

“Yeth” the nerdy toad declared. 

“And I feel the dips!” A toadette reacted from the left side as well. 

“EEK! EEEHEHEHEHE!” Mario squealed. “NOHOT BOHOHOTH!” Mario yelled.

While those toads played with the lower ribs, most of the other kids worked on feeling for the upper ribs. They went exactly where the nerdy toad had pointed to: slightly below the underarms. “waaAAAAHAHAHAHA! EEEHEHEHE NOHOHOHOHO!” Mario laughed loudly. 

“Wow! Nerdy was right! The higher ribs seem to tickle him more than the lower ones!” The black toad reacted with shock. 

“The nerd’s a genius!” the purple toad declared. 

“STAHAPIT! PLEHEHEHEHEASE!” Mario begged. 

“There’s so many ribcage pieces!” a blue toad reacted. “How many ribs are there?” 

“There thould be thwelve ribth on each thide.” The nerd added. 

“TWELVE ON EACH SIDE?!” The toads all yelled in unison. 

“Well…Yeah! Jutht counth ith for yourthelf!” The nerd declared. 

All the kids went right back to poking, rubbing and prodding his ribs, causing Mario to let out all sorts of different types of laughter. Mario chuckled, cackled, laughed, giggled, even squealed like a little girl! All the toads got a kick out of that one!

“WAIT!” Someone shouted. 

Every toad stopped tickling and looked at the one toad that had shouted. It was the black and white toad from earlier. Mario’s body went limp the moment they stopped.

“Hoooo…hoooo…Hooo…I’ma tired…” Mario muttered, lowering his head onto the ground. 

“Why don’t we let nerdy show us?” The toad asked, pointing to the pink toad with the glasses. 

The toad widened his already abnormally large eyes. “R…Really?” 

“Wha-what?” Mario asked, looking at the black toad with mostly tiredness, but a small bit of confusion. 

“Well…yeah. I think it’s easier than all of us trying to do it and then killing Mario with laughter.” The black toad added. Mario turned his head forward again. He had a point. Anything’s better than being tickled by 18 little toad kids at once. 

The nerdy toad smiled a bit. He really did want to tickle him. But…he was scared he may hurt Mario in the process. “Well…” The nerd looked at Mario, who was visibly tired. “I’ll countt the ribth on one condithion.” The nerd said. “Afther I sthow you, Mario will be lefth alone. No more thickles afther I show you.” The nerd decided. 

Mario let out a small sigh and smiled a slight bit. Finally…after what felt like hours…finally, one of these toads had some common sense. Mario looked at the nerd with a tired, but thankful look. “Okay…I agree with that.” Mario told them. 

The toads thought it over for a moment. Yes, it would be disappointing to stop tickling their favorite hero…but if they refused, then they wouldn’t know much more about the ribcage. Finally, the toads nodded their heads in agreement. 

“Wontherful!” The nerd declared. The nerdy toad picked up the pen that Mario had dropped earlier, and lifted up Mario’s arm. He held it back, and sat on the arm so it would stay there. Slowly, the toad began to show the kids the different spots on the ribcage, making sure to feel each individual rib before identifying its location. 

With the lower ribs, Mario was just chuckling, giggling and occasionally laughing. 

“Ohohokahahay, Hahaha!” 

“Ehehehehahahaha! Ihihit tihihickles!” 

With the middle ribs, he was laughing almost gleefully and shaking his head all around, making his hair fly back and forth in the process. 

“HAHAHAhahahaha! YAhahahaha!” 

“Oho bohohoy- EEHEHEHE!” 

But when the top of the ribs were poked and counted, then the entire dam just broke right open. “OhohohOHOHOHO NOHOHAAA! AAAHAHAHAHA!” 

“NAHAHAT THERE! PLEHEHEHEASE NAHAHAHAHA!” 

And the man even started reverting to his Italian roots for a couple moments!

“FERMAHARE! FEHEHERRRMAHAHAHARE!”
