I absolutely love Foster's, there's like no tk content for it, but fuck it we ball
This was made from a request from @aceofspades-doodles! hrgrhrhgrhrgh I may have deviated from it a bit but I hope you still like it! Thanks to them and also @someone1348 for indulging in my Foster's obsession, I love having people to talk to about it :3
ALSO!!! This contains elements that are only ever used in the Foster's movie, Destination Imagination! If you don't want to be VERY confused near the end, please go watch that first. I highly recommend it either way, it's such a good movie--

----------
Five minutes late.
The eight-year-old was usually right on time arriving at Foster's. Three oâclock, every day, to play with his imaginary friend. But, as Bloo sat at the front door waiting for Mac, he was growing a tad worried.
Maybe Terrence had intercepted him? Locked him up in his closet again, so he couldnât visit? Something in his gut told him it wasnât that, but there had to be some reason-
âIâm sure heâll be here any minute, bud. He mightâve just been held up by something at school,â Frankie mentioned idly as she walked across the hallway, World following her close behind.
Right. Just school stuff.
Or so he thought.
Mac quietly clambered through the back window, careful not to creak any steps as he snuck towards the main area. Blooâs hearing was always on high alert this time of day, ready to pounce the moment he saw his friend.
This time, though, the roles were swapped.
Just a few more steps. Three more⊠two more⊠oneâŠ
âOh hey, Mac! I didnât hear you come in.â
Wilt?!
Mac jumped at the amputeeâs sudden presence with a yell, shooting a half-hearted glare at him before looking back at Bloo, who was slowly turning to face him with an unreadable expression.
âUh⊠hi?â
âDid you just try to sneak up on me?â
âBloo, I-â
âAmbushing you is my thing, not the other way around!â
Mac backed away a bit as his imaginary friendâs face became more menacing, but Wilt butted in before any more could be said.
âIâm sorry, but if you two are gonna fight again, could you maybe, uh- take it to a place that's not the front door?â
âWe're not fighting!â Bloo retorted. âI'm just making sure Mac knows he can't ambush me when I should be ambushing him!â
âYeah, well, maybe I feel like getting a little revenge, since it happens every day whenever I get here!â
âItâs not as funny when you do it, though! I get all squished, while youâre just knocked over!â
âYou donât die when youâre-â
âIâm sorry guys, but could you please argue somewhere else?â Wilt chimed in again, looking a bit anxious. Blooâs expression, though, became a lot more devious looking.
Mac gulped. He knew that face all too well⊠Come to think of it, the whole âargumentâ mustâve been a trap! Ugh, why didnât he think of this? Bloo does it all the time!
âNah, weâll stop arguing, I know how to settle this better,â Bloo crossed his arms, winking in Wiltâs direction and turning to face his best friend, a smug smile spread wide across his face. Mac shrunk away on instinct, waving his hand slightly.
âUh, heh⊠yeah, weâll stop⊠eheh⊠hi, BlooâŠâ He managed to spill out, before bolting out of the room almost as fast as if he had eaten sugar.
âOh no, ya donât, buddy!â Bloo ran after him. âWe still have a little something to settle!â
Mac ran as fast as he could around the ever-more-confusing house, finally diving behind a beanbag in a desperate attempt to hide from the absolute menace that Bloo was most definitely turning into. He tried to quiet his panting, heart racing as he heard his creationâs footsteps getting closer.
Until they stopped.
The boy paused, peeking out slightly from behind the beanbag.
âAlright there, champ?â
âAH!â Mac jumped back again, pushing himself right up against the wall and away from Bloo.
âJeeheez bud, I was only being nice! You were lookinâ a little uptight, thought ya might need some liveliness!â
âNo you did not! You were a hundred percent trying to scare me!â
âEh, fair point. Anyway, where was I now? Oh yeah, tickling the snot outta you.â And with that, Bloo divebombed the brunet and the two wrestled on the ground for a little bit. Mac was fending off as many of Blooâs little pokes as he could, whilst using his free moments to try and throw him off completely.
Until one managed to find its way to prod his side and he froze with a startled yelp.
Blooâs smile turned into a shit-eating grin as he took advantage of the situation, rapidly poking Mac in the same spot over and over, which in turn caused the little tyke to burst out in chaotic, uneven laughter.
âNo, I think it's perfectly fair, considering you were gonna do something pretty darn similar to me just a few moments ago.â
âIhi- I wahasnât- AHa! I wasnât gohoING to tiHIHickle yoHoU!â
âYeah, but you were going to ambush me, so⊠same difference.â Bloo wasnât even trying to relent on his pokes and prods.
There was something about both his attitude and how naturally good he was at making his creatorâs brain wires short circuit that could almost make one think he was made for it, in part. He never paid any attention to it, but that little spark in his mind was always there.
Mac, on the other hand, was somehow planning his escape. Despite being tickled to a point of nearly turning to mush, his train of thought was still going, albeit intermittently.
Bloo, clearly enjoying having the advantage in the moment, decided he wanted to fluster the kid just a bit more.
âHey buddy, I think there might be a little something you wanna tell me, hm? Somethinâ about how much- AH!â
In the heat of the moment, Mac managed to grab Blooâs side and squeeze, causing him to yelp and retract his arms. The eight-year-old held Bloo against his chest, roughly scribbling into his midsection and eliciting the blobâs signature bouncy laughter as he wiggled around in Macâs seemingly iron grip. Mac smiled, internally cheering at his own achievement before speaking up again.
âSo, Bloo, howâs it feel to be on the receiving end?â
âAH! Noho! MahAC yohou- Nohoho! AHAha!â
âI hear you, but it isnât making any seHENSE- HehEY!â
Bloo had managed to flip himself around, digging into Macâs underarms quickly enough for the latter to falter and give him the upper hand once again.
âOf cohourse it didnât make any sense, Mac! My language skills are beyond your comprehension.â
âHow- HOhow is thaHAt pohohossiBLE?â
âI dunno, buddy, youâre the one who made me up! You tell me!â
âBlohoo- Ihi- AH- I caHAHAhanât!â
âCanât what, Macaroni? Tell me why I can speak the way I do? Or canât handle my ULTIMATE TICKLING POWER?!â
âUltimate tickling power? I donât think so.â
Bloo paused, whirling around to come face to face with- World?
âHAH! You think that fabric floppy body of yours has ultimate tickling power?â
âOh, not this. BUT-â
World bounded behind the two of them and, holding Mac by the collar of his red shirt and securing Bloo underneath his other arm, he dragged them all the way to the attic, humming and giggling to himself.
âI think we all know a place where that all changes.â He secured both in his hold as all three fell into the toybox. Bloo, though, was still cocky as ever.
âI still donât think you could ever surmount my ULTIM- World?â
He looked over at the homemade doll, nudging it before realizing it was faceless.
âWorld? Buddy? Whereâd you gooooooo?â
âUh, Bloo? Maybe you should look where weâre standING-â
âWhat? Itâs just a fluffy... picnic⊠blanketâŠâ
The childish giggle that sounded beneath him is when realization struck.
âOkay, yâknow what World I take it back, maybe in some ways you do have ultimate- this isnât going to change my fate, huh?â

I've been binge watching "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends" for the past week, so I'm like really hyperfixated on it, and I'm also tk trash, so I need to write a fic about it since I'm not artistic enough to draw stuff. I also just want to write fics for underrated fandoms that get no attention. I apologize in advance.
Another sleepless night for Wilt. Ever since Bloo moved in, Wilt had given up his bed and slept on the floor directly underneath the bed. It wasn't comfortable at all, but he didn't complain, not wanting to make Bloo feel bad. Not that he would anyway. 'It could be worse,' he thought to himself, staring up at the underside of the mattress, 'at least I get to sleep on the floor at Foster's instead of the ground outside.'
Wilt groaned and went to slide himself out from under the bed to start the day, but found that he had gotten stuck. He reached his arm up to the wall to push himself out, but it wouldn't work. Bending his knees didn't help, and he couldn't roll to the side. He was stuck. He couldn't turn very well to see anyone so he called out, "Uh, hello? Is someone else in here? Hello-" "Ugh what do you want?" Came a familiar whiny voice.
Wilt perked up, hope filling him. "Bloo, I'm stuck under the bed. Could you help me out? Is that okay?" He asked. He couldn't see Bloo, but the silence that filled the air already told him that the gremlin was up to something. A silent Bloo wasn't a good thing. "Bloo?" He asked, getting nervous. He tried pushing himself out again, to no avail.
"Oh suuure, Wilt, I can help you out~"
Oh he did not like that tone at all. "Uh, that's okay Bloo, maybe you should go find Ed, if that's okay." He heard Bloo move closer, and craned his neck to see if he could see where Bloo was or what he was doing.
Wilt was expecting to feel the mattress above him to dip down under Bloo's weight, to hear the door shut, to hear Bloo yell for Frankie, anything. What he was not expecting was to feel him poke his foot. His eye widened with realization. "B-Bloo, wait, maybe you should just go get Ed, he is stronger than both us, he could lift the bed or pull me out with no issue, you don't need to- waitwait Bloo stohop-" he slapped his hand over his mouth to prevent any chuckles from slipping out, a silly grin spreading over his face.
Bloo had started to poke up and down his socked foot, completely ignoring his friend's pleas and kicking. "Blohohoo, c-cuhut it ohout! I'm sohorry buhut- WAIT!" The smaller friend had sat himself on Wilt's leg, grabbing at his knee and tickling underneath it, driving the basketball player crazy. "Gee, Wilt, it's a shame you're so tall~ Anyone could grab at your knees, they're perfectly within reach!" He teased.
Wilt kicked and squirmed, desperately trying to kick Bloo off, to pull his legs under the bed, to do SOMETHING. "Bloo! Stohohop plehehehease! Hahahaha j-juhuhust goho genehet Ehehehed-" he let out an embarrassing squeal and twisted himself out from under the bed, pulling his legs in with him.
Bloo stood up and grinned like an idiot. "You're welcome~" "Bloo?" "Yes, Wilt?" "You have three seconds to run."
