A little more information about this alien if you want !
Species : βββββββ
A creature that drifts like a dark jellyfish through space. It possesses six tentacles covered in fuzz. It only needs heat to survive, for example, that of a star (the sun). That's why it greatly blind, their eyes being used more to spot the nearest star to allow them to remain in a habitable area. (not too close nor too far from their star)
It has the ability, like an octopus, to contract its entire body to squeeze into very tiny space.
(This is how it was able to slip into Cooper's uniform.)
When it comes into contact with something other than an asteroid, its "curiosity" will try to understand the surface of the being.
(That's why it's essentially immobilized Cooper. It also found it "amusing" that the object "vibrated" when its tentacles moved in certain spots.)
When Cooper was pulled towards the ship, the force caused the alien to release its hold and to exit through the same gaps that it has between. It then continued to drift through space.
