I feel a bit stupid being devastated over a fictional character but yes I really want to hug him too rn. It drives me crazy to think of what could have become if he hadn't crossed the granny line. Amen! I share your sentiment exactly. And I think I only deleted one text or so regarding him? It was only because I thought I could make a better rendition later on (or maybe it was just a excuse so I could talk a little more about the subject without spamming the tag, lol).
Anyways, the problem with tumblr's attitude towards him isn't exactly a issue to me as most of it is knee-jerk reactions regarding the puppy-killing stuff in particular, etc. The only thing that honestly bothers me is how coldly he was treated in-universe and by the writer of the show...I mean, I predicted that Kamui and Togane would shoot one another at the same time around four episodes ago, and that Togane would die because of his obvious "antagonistic" portrayal of him in the opening. That part annoys me; it seems although he really never had a "chance" to develop, let alone live, and there's something wrong if character death is that predictable.
