I haven’t been here for years. Or -- more than a year. In a single year the wheels can turn. In a single year those turning wheels can take one across the sky, as in a chariot immolating, as in a meteor carving an ephemeral scar on the Heavenly Father’s eternal thigh. How silly it can all seem, and yet how ordinary: to fight for the right to collect your nuts, your seeds, your berries.
