Another one ranking among the oldest buildings in downtown Portland, the Leon Chung Building. While the past history of the building is mostly unknown, based on its location it is believed that it played a significant role in the displacement of many Chinese descendants who lived in this neighborhood when they first moved to the city. Based on an old sign still on the front of the building it is known it also once was a luggage store.
