Fighting Zarkon was near impossible with the red lion out of commission. They had retrieved it but their efforts laid to waste is it continuously rejected Allura and Coran both access to the cockpit. They’ve tried again and again to try and locate the red paladin  but no matter their efforts none of them could sense anything.

In the end they ended up turning to the Blades of Marmora, accepting their offer of help. Shiro Lance and Hunk boarded the base while Pidge stayed back with Allura and Coran to man the castle. The galra where all towers compared to their small human counterparts, leaving Lance feeling significantly small, Shiro and Hunk both being larger than him.

Not a single part of the sun shown, hidden underneath the horizon, but colors of indigo and orange still left the faintest of glow.  The buzzing of wildlife and birds were ever present, and as warm winds tussled the long blades of grasses and weeds, Shiro stood in the gravel off the side of the road. His large hands tightened around the straps of his heavily packed rucksack.  He’d arrived early in anticipation of someone accompanying him.  However, it was with great risk that Shiro invited his junior to take an expedition with him into the woods.  Prior to this moment, the boy had shown a lack of interest despite his positive answer.  Shiro was always partially unsure when it came to him.

Furrowing a brow, he closed his eyes and said to himself, “Why am I worrying so much about this?  He’ll come...I think.”

Kogan snarled as the guard jabbed him with the butt of his gun. The giant naga wanted so badly to either rip him apart or just eat him. Orange-and-red eyes glared at the Galra surrounding his “pen”. He’d just won a particularly long, hard fight against some kind of alien animal they found in the area. 

The latter idea was almost appealing. He hadn’t eaten in a week. Nothing substantial anyway. He sighed, laying his torso down on his coils. Things took a turn, however, when a very loud bang sounded off, followed by the cave ceiling rattling a bit. The guards became spooked, rushing for their guns. 

No problem sweetie, I care about my followers, even if we’ve never spoken. ;D

It’ll never annoy me, I’m a pretty good listener.
