Some fanart for my favourite YouTube channel: ProZD Plays Games! If you haven't checked them out you really should! They make me laugh so much but they are also REALLY creative sometimes! Inspired me a lot when I have been very burnt out so it was amazing just to be able to draw this. I don't use Tumblr much anymore but I thought I'd post this here because I like how it turned out. (not that I have much to post these days anyway)
Leo Garcia - Amores como el nuestro (Soundtrack Esteros) Versión Completa
a great version of this song from a wonderful Argentinian gay movie
29 & 30?
29- name an oc whose singing voice is wildly different from their speaking voice
leo plays mostly punk & metal and futuristic dystopian state punk is even more insane obviously. he learned from there so he’s very loud and screamy and fast and then when he speaks he usually can’t judge his volume much anymore w/o his hearing aids + talks quite slow. plus his speaking voice is quite low but his singing voice errs higher
30 - name an oc who is frequently nervous to the point of being physically ill
WHO would i mention but my DARLING GIRL victoriano andrés herrera… anon i do not know if you have seen her but beautiful woman with uranium poisoning so in denial and dysphoric that the stress makes her cough up blood while she is trying to be an archetypal western protagonist 💗 also stress nosebleeds sometimes bc her nose never got fixed right after getting shattered.
art of vic because i LOVE HER!!

Leo García, a gay Argentine singer that's been out for decades, got brutally beaten up in a bar in General Rodriguez, his hometown.
This is one of the many examples of homophobic hate crimes that happen time and time again, made visible because the man in question happens to be a singer.
Argentina is always tutted, mostly by foreign ignorant leftists, as a paragon of progressiveness and inclusion in LGB(T) matters: we were the first Latin American country to legalize same-sex marriage back in 2010, we have self-id laws, we can choose to have an "X" as our gender/sex identifier in our IDs.
These laws are incredibly hollow, however. Oh, yes, you can get married to someone of the same sex. That doesn't mean that you won't be the talk of the neighborhood as soon as you move in with your spouse. That doesn't mean that your neighbors won't talk cover their children's eyes as you pass by their house hand in hand with your spouse.
There are laws that protect you from workplace discrimination, ostensibly and only partly enforced in the more progressive areas, but your coworkers still won't use the bathroom when you're in one of the stalls, and they won't speak to you as a normal person, and they won't miss a chance to talk about how they don't need straight pride to feel secure on their identity.
These laws don't mean that gay men and transvestites (homosexual crossdressers) are more prone to poverty and more likely to retort to prostitution for survival, which leaves them extremely vulnerable and likely to be murdered on the job.
(Fun fact - that "trans life expectancy is in the mid 30s" first world tras like to talk about refers exclusively to South American transvestite prostitutes - in particular Brazilian, but i wouldn't be surprised if the numbers here were similar).
None of these laws do anything for gay people that want to leave their lives in peace and get beaten up, kicked out of their homes, without families, in poverty, jobless.
A government can make as many laws as it wants to to appear #woke on international statistics and to appeal to its faux-progressive platform, but for a change to truly happen it has to be cultural. It's more than creating a ministry and assigning a Gender And Sexuality Minister for clout and brownie points. For as long as Argentine society is homophobic, we will live in a homophobic country (which is not true only of Argentina, but of every other country).
