I know, I know. Bad amnesia plot. (And the medical research webpages are probably rolling in their graves with this one.) But I was watching a movie last week and I thought, "Why not?" ┐('～` )┌

I spam drew this comic, I didn't want to stop...

Imagine the turtles are trapped and in mortal danger, hehe. You have to choose one of the four, and the only way to save them all is to create a four-way tie. If just one of them gets more votes than the others, that one is the only one who survives. Do you get it?

I wanted to do that for quite some time because I felt like expressions were too weak

And I finally finished something! I finally realize how much time making comics takes when you don't know how to make them. The amount of drafts I've doodled in the middle of physics classes is concerning.

And, as you've properly noticed, this ISN'T the 'next part' that I initially promised but rather a prequel part instead. I wanted to flesh out the scene a little more before getting into the juicy parts, so unfortunately, it's going to be another while before I finish the next part (for real, this time).

I'll be pretty busy for the week because I have exams, so just be patient, and I'll try to cook up something nice soon enough, all wrapped up in a bow.

Gone.

April O'Neil. Missing. Presumed dead.

The invasion was only the beginning.

Beneath the streets of New York, the Mad Dogs were recovering...

and krangified zombies were multiplying.

They attacked all at once. Decimating entire neighborhoods, infecting everyone and everything they didn't kill, spreading like gangrene.

Desperate for a fix, the Earth's Protection Force publicly announced a truce with the mysterious mutants of New York who had defeated the krang.

Leo, as the leader, agreed with the truce on behalf of his family, for the greater good, because they were heroes. That's what heroes did. A͞n̼̅d͒ itͬͮ w͕ä́sn̝̺͆'̷̹t̵͜ a̞͠b̿o͜u̐̒t h̕i̛͓mͧ.̣͓̐

Government agents worked alongside these mystical warriors until the threat was defeated...

until they didn't need the mutants any longer.

Viewing these powerful mystical vigilantes as potential security threats - as things to be studied rather than heroes to be honored - the attack came out of nowhere.

Leo couldn't save Donnie.

Raph died protecting them all.

April went missing in the chaos.

Consumed with a rage that was fueled by grief and guilt, Leo separated from what was left of his family of heroes, to turn down a path of destruction and revenge.

Mikey refused to give up on him.

Leo didn't understand why.

this is just an idea I came up with after watching what happened to Hawkeye in Endgame (after he lost his family), I don't have any plans to turn it into a fanfic :)
