Uses:
Multiple Myeloma: Used with other medications like dexamethasone to treat certain types of blood cancer.
Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS): Helps reduce the need for blood transfusions in patients with low red blood cell counts.
Mantle Cell Lymphoma: Treats patients who have relapsed or not responded to previous therapies.
Side Effects:
Common: Fatigue, diarrhea, constipation, nausea, and skin rash.
Serious: Low blood counts (anemia, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia), blood clots, liver damage, and severe allergic reactions.
Precautions: Can cause birth defects; avoid during pregnancy.
