Cap2????

Probably my least popular opinion in the world is that I don’t like Cap 2 as much as I like Cap 1.

Time for a concert review! It’s been forever since I’ve done one and I’m so excited to do this one. A few weeks ago, I was sitting around with lemonpeasy and we saw that Hozier was going to be playing at my favorite amphitheater and she asked me if I’d go with her. And that’s where we found ourselves last night. The opener for the show was the band Low Roar and they did a pretty decent job. They didn’t talk very much and just played their music which is cool but I’m all about interacting with your audience when you play a concert. The sun started to set and this lovely man and his amazing band finally came on. He started the show with “Like Real People Do” and from there played a beautifully arranged set. He has what seems to be a very humble and sweet personality and I just adore him all the more for it. He shared that it was his first show in a venue of that size but you could not tell. This man knows how to put on a show and my gosh is he oozing with talent. He did a cover of “Illinois Blues” by Skip James and I was just mesmerized by his guitar playing. Not only is he talented but so are his bandmates. He sang “In A WeeK” with Alana Henderson who is also a beautiful cellist. His other cover during the 4 song encore was “1 thing” by Amerie and it was incredible. He played all of my favorite songs from his album and it was just such a kickass show. I’m sharing “Work Song” (which was the last of his encore) because it’s one of my top faves and this video is beautiful. If you get the chance to see him live, I totally recommend it.

Also, it’s a little disturbing how often I think, “you’re interrogating the text from the wrong perspective” and “his hed was pastede on yay”

Like it's amazing to me when people talk about how crazy tumblr has made fandom. HAVE YOU ALL FORGOTTEN THE ASTRAL PLANE MARRIAGES??? LJ (and pre LJ) was wild.
