We spent our sunday exploring the artificial wild between Almere and Lelystaad. What once has been inhabitat by romans went below sea-level later - only to be set dry a few centuries later by the dutch after they turned the Zuiderzee into the Ijmeer. Today this place hosts wild horses, buffalos, swans, eagles and many more species bird watchers can dream of. The bright blue sky turned into a stunning sunset which we enjoyed from the sofa with a hot cup of tea.Β
