- They wear each others clothes +jewelry and shit like that

- They got asked if they were sisters more than once

- Leighton goes to Tatums tennis matches

- They cook together —> Tatum cooks and Leighton sits on the counter and comments on things she does/ distracts with kisses

- Tatum is pretty sure that her dad loves Leighton more than he loves her (its the same with Leighton dad)

- Pilates classes together

- Tatum and with eye work out together + gossip

- Bella walked in on them fucking once and kept on bothering them who was Top/Bottom —> at some point Tatum told her (she does not care that Bella knows) and Leighton got mad/embarrassed/annoyed that she wouldn’t talk to Tatum for the next hour or so

- They adopt a cat together —> Leighton very much is a cat person, Tatum not so much but she agrees just for Leighton to bet happy

- They gossip with each other (they judge so much and don’t care what other people think about it)

- Leighton has a emotional support stuffed animal dog called “Bonaparte”, at first she hid it from Tatum until she found out Tatum herself has a stuffed animal sea gull called “chunky mo”

- Tatum loves to post pictures of them or just Leighton on her instagram and at first Leighton was fine with it but did not do it herself now almost every second pic is with Tatum in it or something from their date

That’s it :)

They’ve never really fought before. There have been small disagreements and the occasional hot-headed debate, but nothing quite this substantial. Nothing worth apologizing for.

Tatum is struggling with nightmares, Leighton’s arms are where she feels safe

this is my first fic :)

Sleep is a crue kindness; a false friend. It draws you in with the promise a rest, comfort and safety. The belief that when you close your eyes and secome to sleep, that all is well. It's not.

Your mind has full control. That mixed with past traumas and emotions create what we know as 'nightmares’: those horrid dreams that have kids screaming for their parents and adults jolting awake, often with their heart pounding out of their chest. They feel real, they create terror and they tarnish people's view on sleep. No longer is the prospect of going to bed inwiting and comforting, but no it's terrifying and off -putting.

That was the position Tatum found herself in. Wide awake, staring holes into the ceiling. In these moments, she envied her girifriend's ability to fall into the grasp of sleep so effortlessly. For the last 2 hours and 26 minutes - not that Tatum had been counting. She had tried her best to close her eyes and sleep, yet whenever she saw the inside of her eyelids; her mind filled with the images plaguing her sleep.

She thinks Tatum’s mad at her. 

Which sets off this whole vicious cycle because now she’s mad at her for being mad and she doesn’t even really know why, and asking is obviously out of the question. That would be way too mature of her; it’s just not realistic. She’d rather just be mad right back. 

They had dinner with their parents, nothing particularly exciting, and there was a brief moment where she may or may not have almost gotten them caught. It’s fine. Honestly, nothing even really happened and no one saw anything. 

Tatum fixed her with this vicious icy glare right away and barely spoke to her for the rest of dinner, so. That was fun. 

Tatum’s already sitting on their parent’s sofa when Leighton walks in late, her chiffon blouse clinging to her skin and a few wisps of hair that have escaped her tight ponytail sticking to her sweaty neck. Right now the air conditioning feels like an absolute godsend.

Her father is right behind her, so she only gets a second to appreciate Tatum’s cute black dress before she’s ushered into the room. Thankfully her dad’s distracted, talking about the trip they just came back from because the look Tatum shoots her is so brazen, it quite literally makes her blush. 

“Has anyone ever told you guys that you look weirdly alike?”

Tatum grins at Leighton, clearly at least a little intoxicated, and squeezes her hand.

“Funny, that’s what Nico said, too.”

Leighton turns to her. This is brand new information to her. “He did?”

Tatum nods, and Bela, despite however many drinks she undoubtedly had tonight, somehow picks up on the underlying implication of that statement.

“Whoa, already meeting the fam bam, huh? Leighton must really like you.”

Before Leighton can saying anything, Tatum nods, smirks at her and says, “She must.”

“Oh, no way.” She laughs. “I’m not telling you that sober.”

“Babe,” Tatum says, reaching over to cover her wrist with her hand where it’s resting on the bar, and Leighton nearly fucking whimpers. “You’re not sober.”

“Well, you are.”
