I am having intense pain in my right leg right now holy shit
Stabbing Leg Pains...Yikes!
Has anyone ever experienced stabbing leg pains, mainly in the calf area (on either side) and the inner part of the thigh? I've recently been experiencing this in waves...periodically throughout the day. Sometimes I feel nothing and sometimes it hurts so bad I have to stop and re-cooperative before continuing on with whatever I'm doing. It's not only annoying, it's also kind of scary. I've also been experiencing some numbness in my toes, most often while working out. I usually feel GREAT after a workout though, so this has not stopped me in the slightest.
I know what everyone will respond with..."see a doctor" yada, yada, yada. I did. I went to my primary care physician last week and she suggested that I take a week off from Oly lifts. I haven't lifted a damn thing since Wednesday and I swear it is getting worse. She also suggested that I have a heart murmur...not sure if it is serious or not but she didn't seem worried at all. She said I can continue with regular circuit training and cardio as I would normally do and that she'd see about scheduling me for an echo cardiogram this week. Yikes.
I am terrified that this is a circulatory issue, which always leads me to think the worst. What if it's a blood clot? What if I need to have surgery, etc? Ugh. I'm squeamish about anything organ related...especially involving blood. blech. I'm actually nauseous just thinking about it.
It would be a great relief if anyone has gone through this before or has experienced anything similar to this. Anyone?
