A few days after the funeral, Miram, Autumn's grandmother knocked on Autumn's door.

Mariam: Hey hun, have you started packing? I know it's hard, but we've gotta get all you and your father's things out of the apartment. They already have renters asking for this apartment. So they are rushing us out.

Autumn: Okay, gram. I'm sorry I just...It's just a lot, you know? Like There's no way my dad didn't come home. There's no way my dad isn't here anymore. I can't hear him complain about me having my music "a bit too loud" or "doing my chores in a timely manner."

Mariam: I know sweetheart.

Autumn: I didn't mean to fall asleep. I'll finish packing and get changed. I know we've gotta get back to Henford today.

Mariam: Yeah, I appreciate the neighbor for caring for my chickens and cows, but I miss them and know they miss me.

Autumn:...You're right. I'm sorry I'm burdening you.

Mariam: Darling, you are not burdening your grandmother. You're my baby. You are always welcome at my house. Now, I'm gonna step out, you get going now okay?

Autumn: Okay. I love you.

Mariam: I love you too!

*Mariam knocks on the door*

Mariam: Hey hun, are you all finished?

Autumn: Yeah. Let's go. I should leave before...I try to stay.

Mariam: Oh honey, I'll make you some of my famous apple pie! You still love it, right?
