13. My muse winks at yours and slips a note into your hand before leaving the room

Sitting at a table reserved for the Nases the room was filled with many unfamiliar faces, but one managed to catch the strawberry blond’s attention. A female, a strange one. Well, she wasn’t strange looking, but something about here was different about her, compared to the rest of the crowd. More so it felt as if she belonged where he and the Nase’s were standing, partially away from the crowd, with the group that wasn’t just human.

She didn’t seem to be enjoying herself within the large crowd. ‘Ah, I’m in need of another drink anyways.’ Turning to the nearby table Tadashi grabbed a piece of parchment and wrote in fine calligraphy. Standing from his seat Tadashi approached the female, waiting for her to glance his way.

Delivering a wink to fully catch the female’s attention, it worked wonders, and he held out his hand “Hello there, I’m Tadashi.” He held the folded piece of paper in his palm and it was easily transferred to her in the handshake. It read…

And with that, he walked off to get a drink. 

Two weeks and the girl hasn't done anything to tip the scale over to either good or bad, rather being very isolated in terms of her interactions and finishes her exchanges with a nod and wave of a hand. Nothing out of the ordinary so Teiko had unceremoniously heard of, but the girl knows there must be a flaw in her making.

         Everyone has a weakness. A fear, a guilt, a pleasure, a person. The heiress has yet to pinpoint the location of hers, but its deduction that leads her investigation. The heiress tips the cup of tea up to her lips, maroon and gold flecked optics trained over the rim. They flicker with curiosity, sparking a fire within her that sets her thin brow in motion.

There are two pieces of information that Teiko was offered from the start: Name, Yukiko Shindou. Race? Youmu. Nothing particularly surprising, for the relationship between the the two have been becoming long since forgotten in terms of persecution. Still, it's a pressing issue no matter the case and could very well be fatal if revelaed to the public. Call her old-fashioned or ritualistic, but Teiko cannot trust them in the least. Vile creatures youmu were, but their trust can be useful in terms of power.

         Setting the teacup to the saucer with a flick of her wrist, it silently rests as the liquid comes to a stand still. The redhead pushes her seat backward and stands, chin to the floor. Teiko is glad she's worn her pair of shoes with the higher heel today, the quiet clicking growing falsely menacing. Hand brushing her hair over her shoulder, she sucks in a breath through clenched teeth-

There's two things she was offered, but and many she's learned, but one she's figured from the start. Like most youmu, Yukiko is a foolish beast. Foolish, but bold.

          -And clears her throat.

If getting lost was a contest...

                                             Tadashi would get the money prize.

Even though he was in the main city, he'd somehow managed to get lost within thirty minutes of window shopping. Which was something he only did when he had nothing better to do. Hisoka had given him a map, but at some point Tadashi put it down and well, that's a problem that is no longer his. Well it is, but getting lost always proved to be at least a little interesting. And this time it did end in that result.

He was trying to find his way out of the city, or looking for something familiar, so he was squeezing between shops to see what was on the other side. 

That was normal, but what proved to be interesting was that for a moment his eyes had glanced over what looked like a large cat, but he was too busy looking around to process it at first, but when his eyes shot back to where the animal should have been, it was gone.

[ ♕ ] — "Oh? I was never informed there would be visitors."

   Always prepared for guests, be it of wealthy or some lesser being, an unkempt home struck the reputation. A small blemish shouldn't damage it. But to the young woman, the meager error cost so much. 

   How aggravating, especially when the home was under repairs due to an... incident. A small portion was covered and suffered greatly during the trouble.

               And why would common people even have concern in her affairs?

  The change in location should have changed some... speculation.

"A-ah! Hello there, can i help you? Are you looking for someone?" the black haired girl had jsut woken up from her daily nap on the hills and looked up to the person a bit disgruntled, but happy that someone had actually approached her. She did her best to put on a smile and try not to fall back asleep.
