there's something very fascinating about how nudity is associated with evil in american horror movies. there's a devil worshipping cult killing children consisting of women, all naked. someone goes missing in the woods and after an encounter with a witch comes back tainted, unclothed. only weird strange, dangerous people are in their natural state without clothes. nudity is shown to be something abnormal and a sign of something wicked being afloat. horror always tells so much of the culture it was made in

hwat the hell. was anyone going to tell me that witch hat atelier having an anime is a new thing. my boss and i are in the cosplay scene and we've seen so very many cosplays of it for years and years and years constantly forever. even pre covid. and we got shocked by a coworker telling us he started watching "this one new anime" and it was that. and it having an anime is a NEW thing???? not like almost 10 years ago old?
