The thought of people talking about these edits in the context ofa whole au is super overwhelmingly happy-making. (I may have done a little dancein my chair when I read this ask haha what a nerd). While I’ve never really made those edits witha particular story in mind (they’re more for general worldbuilding and topossibly act as inspiration for others) your questions got me thinking, and,well.

Charles. 

Oh Charles. I guess he’s spent most of his life pretty sheltered and privileged, so while he’s aware of the hardships mutants face, hehas a little bit of wide-eyed innocence about it. Before he comes out as a telepath he’s still one of the world’sleading experts on the X-Gene, which gives him a bit of ground to stand on whenspeaking publicly about his dreams of a more peaceful solution to mutant civil rights struggles than what more militant mutant groups like theBrotherhood endorse. Somewhere along the way he becomes a bit of an unofficial figurehead for theintegrationist movement with his nice, palatable, but still mutant friendlymessage. It’s something middle-class baseline America can accept. (#weareallhuman)

But then his fatherdies and he inherits the family company and all the money and he starts lookinginto charities and mutant shelters and starts to see things a bit more for whatthey are. This coincides with a spike in anti-mutant hate crimes, the rise ofthe Church of Humanity, the Mutant Registration Act etc etc. Telepaths in particular arebeing singled out, and Charles decides the time has come to reveal hismutation.

Being out as a telepathin a world that is growing more hysterical about mutants by the minute is a huge eye-opener. Talking about peacefulsolutions and everyone being human in the end suddenly doesn’t seem like enoughwhen children are having their wings cut off by their parents and teenage telepathsare being force-fed suppressants in schools. And to add to that he’s been spendingmore and more time listening to what the Brotherhood’s - borderline militant but extremelycompelling, damn that intense mind -  leader Erik Lehnsherr has to say.

Tbh here it all depends on particular university and on your chosen field. Studying is practically free in Poland, and almost everyone with high school education goes to the university, but high number of students doesn’t go with high quality of higher education. You can get bachelor or even master degree without putting much effort in it.

Hate against truscum is practically hate against trans men - because all anti-truscum people assume that only white straight trans men are truscum. We’re also accused of being homophobic, doesn’t matter that more than 50% of us is not straight.

I can only guess it’s the same thing as “women are so much better from men, all men oppress women and are trash” but this time within trans* community. Now Tumblr is ready to lynch every binary trans man because apparently, we were all born with male privilege and what’s even worse, we’ve chosen to be oppressors (because you know, people choose their gender, and trans men have chosen to be evil)

The worst thing is, that harassing pre-transitioning, non-passing trans boys who are closeted in real life is acceptable and nothing wrong with triggering their dysphoria, using transphobic language and misgendering them. 

Because 14 year old trans boy who is not even allowed to cut his hair till he leaves family house is so much more privileged from “non dysphoric masculine-presenting lesbian trans women” who love their dicks and have never left house in feminine clothes, not to mention coming out as trans in real life. It makes me so fucking furious… they’re not even trans women, they’re cis dudes, not even gays, just straight fetishists who use trans label to become untouchable on Tumblr. They can be as offensive as they want, as transphobic as they want, many of them are also homophobic. I’ve met someone like that before, it was outside of Tumblr, I used to talk with them a lot and I had enough time to figure out their real motives.
