Here's an interesting headcannon of mine. For some reason, I've always had Lee as the gay Kanker because I think a. she would come out bluntly and not care what anyone thinks b. because I think she, out of all her sisters, seems to be doing what she thinks she's supposed to do instead of having actual feelings for Eddy. I could be wrong but that's how I always saw it. Thoughts?
I’d agree with this. Lee doesn’t want to admit to being gay as she still doesn’t understand her feelings. I don’t think either Lee and Marie understand love. Their mother has set off a poor example in regards of dating a plethora of men.
Still, Lee may like Eddy. She was seriously about to beat up Eddy’s brother at the end of the movie.
Someone brought up a point from a scene in Cool Hand Ed. At the very beginning as Eddy is peering around the classroom Lee awkwardly makes eye contact and then looks away. She may be in conflict with her feelings.
Lee is a selfless individual. She doesn’t care what anybody thinks about her. Still, she is self-conscious regarding her looks and how she and her sisters have to live their life.
I’d be willing to go either way. That’s what I love about being a part of this fandom. We can come up with so many different head canons and discuss them.
