Barbie and Ken Tickle-Cannons :)

A/N: I’m sosososo sorry I haven’t been able to write anything recently :’( a lot of stuff has been going on right now in my personal life and I have had no motivation, but after watching Barbie I rlly wanted to make some headcannons, so here they are :) and this also contains SPOILERS, so feel free to scroll if you haven’t seen the movie yet, hope you guys enjoy! 💖 (also I did end up writing a lot more for Ken then Barbie, so I apologise in advance 💔)

(Okay so before I start, I doubt any of the Barbies or Kens knew what tickling was until the CEO and his executives had that small moment near the end of the movie, but for the sake of this post let’s just pretend they knew what it was beforehand 😔)
Tickle fights must have happened during some of the many girl nights Barbie had with her friends, there’s just no doubt about it
I feel like Barbie definitely had her fair share of being tickled, and also tickling her friends
I headcannon her as a ler-leaning switch, she’s the type of person to prefer tickling because it makes others happy, but she also loves feeling that joy from time to time :’)
Has probably been given a few small side pokes or squeezes by Ken, most likely because Ken likes her too much to properly tickle her, he’d feel bad afterwards and worried he went too far 😭
When in the Real World, there have been a few times where she lets Gloria tickle her, just to help her relive some of those childhood memories (especially since Sasha doesn’t really enjoy being tickled by Gloria, at least that’s what she wants her and Barbie to think 😌)
Ticklish in the regular spots you’d expect, but super ticklish on her neck and sides
Got this super bubbly laughter that Ken literally cannot get enough of
Ler:
she’s such a sweet ler omfg 😭 she’ll tease you but in the nicest way possible
“Awww, look at you all smiley and giggly!”
“Cmon, don’t hide your face! I wanna see that smile!”
“Well, aren’t you ticklish?”
Definitely tickles Ken a lot, she thinks his reactions are the funniest things ever 💖
Was super excited finding out tickles were also a thing in the Real World, she just saw a couple briefly tickling each other and just lit up :’)
Tickling is definitely a known concept in BarbieLand, everyone likes being tickled and no one is afraid to admit it, so when Barbie entered the Real World and found out a big majority of people actually don’t enjoy being tickled, she was pretty disappointed at first as it wasn’t what she was used to :(
But after being taught by Gloria, she did learn that some people just don’t like the feeling, and she knows to respect that and the boundaries behind it now :)
Loves tickling Gloria and Sasha (if the tween will allow it)

Okay he’s an adorable lee, okay?? 😭
He’s just got such a giggly laugh :’)
And the harder he laughs the wheezy-er it gets 💕
The guy has no shame admitting to liking tickles, but he can never ask for it 😔
He drops SO many hints like every 5 seconds
“Oh man, Ken. My arms sure do ache, lemme just do a quick strETCH-“
Acts all frustrated like in the gif above when someone purposely pretends to not take notice of his hints >:))
He literally wears multiple outfits where his stomach is on show. Need I say more?
To add onto that, his stomach is his death spot
Mojo Dojo Casa Ken would definitely act all tough when asked if he was ticklish
“Pfft, ticklish? Nah, I’m a MAN. They aren’t ticklish.”
But then only one unexpected poke to the ribs from behind is enough to make him let out a high-pitched squeak and turn red
Simu-Liu’s Ken loves to target him too, especially in front of Barbie to embarrass him
He sometimes even gets multiple Kens to gang up on him at once >:)
Ler:
Definitely more a lee than a ler, but still loves to tickle others :’)
As I mentioned before, he does love to tickle Barbie, he just loves her smile and laugh
But like I also said, he’d be overthinking a lot about whether he’s going too far, no matter how much Barbie persists that she’s okay
“So, like… you’re SURE you’re okay?”
“(This is the fifth time he’s asked) Yes, Ken! I promise I’m okay!”
“Hmm, alright… but are you TOTALLY-“
And will also be brave enough to tickle a Ken if one is teasing him too much about wanting Barbie to look at him
Ken at the start of the movie would be a pretty gentle and cautious ler, whereas Mojo Dojo Ken is a lot more playful and rough, like a big teenage brother 😭
He’d definitely say something like:
“This is definitely NOT a manly way to solve this, but you’ve been so annoying and you’ve left me no choice to resort to such nonsense methods, bro!”
I mean that one scene when the Kens are fighting each other and he gets one of them in a headlock and gives them a noogie just gave such big brother vibes 😭
