Love Lane Inn's exterior is colorful and I always want to take a photo or two. A Backpacker's Homestay??? If you say so... I'd far more likely set my tent up on a patch of nice green grass under a tree. The old buildings and water stained walls lining the narrow streets of George Town around Love Lane and Lebuh Chulia relate the history of Penang. I always liked this wall and door. The colors and patterns interested me. Well the new graffiti doesn't. Wandering around Lebuh Chulia and Love Lane I can't help but notice an increased level of tagging and general graffiti from previous years. After having yogurt, a bacon & egg bagel, and filling up with several lattes at Mugshot Cafe we go for a stroll around Lebuh Chulia and Love Lane. Now, we stay with Mom on the mainland, but our family, showing me around, took me to see Yeng Keng Hotel (362 Lebuh Chulia). It was so colorful I wanted to snap a few shots. Just so ya know... It is an INFERNO out in the sunshine, but inside is a powerful A/C unit. So, while I cool down I take more photos. I didn't see what's in a room, but the rest was great and well worth looking into staying. This is their beautiful pool.
