On the doorsteps of Bryce Canyon now, here’s a few more from the road. Camped by the lake by the Petrified Forest and jumped off the dock late in the day for a refreshing dip, some big rainbow trout in there too. Hiked the 3 miles through the canyon to get to Calf Creek Falls and was rewarded with a wonderful spot to chill and cool off, the water no more than 60 degrees but after some 100 degree heat it was fantastic. I’d recommend this hike to anyone but middle of the day in the summer, not so great but still worth it. Jumped in the creek by the campground and cooled off again when I made it back.
Met a guy a few days ago and he told me about Kodachrome State Park so stayed there yesterday and camped over. Some really cool landscapes there, the rock formations almost look like castles from the Angels Trailhead. Great spot to stay as it’s only like 15 miles now to Bryce Canyon, my last stop on this fine excursion I’ve had. Back in Vegas tomorrow, work Wednesday :D
